Samsung Introduces AI-Powered Health Features for the Next Generation Galaxy Watch
Samsung Electronics has unveiled a major update to its Samsung Health platform, introducing a suite of AI-powered wellness features designed to transform the upcoming Galaxy Watch into a proactive health companion.
The update aims to simplify daily health management by converting complex biometric data into personalized insights and actionable recommendations. Available first on Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy Watch, the new features are designed to help users better understand their physical and mental well-being through continuous monitoring and intelligent analysis.
Smarter Health Monitoring with AI

One of the key additions is Vitals, a feature that analyzes overnight biometric data including heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen levels. By comparing these metrics against a user’s normal baseline, Samsung Health can identify meaningful changes and provide relevant wellness notifications when needed.

Samsung has also introduced Heart Health Score, a unified daily metric that combines factors such as sleep quality, stress levels, physical activity, and body composition to provide a clearer picture of long-term cardiovascular health.

For fitness enthusiasts, Daily Cardio Load helps monitor cardiovascular strain during exercise, offering recommendations for training intensity and recovery. Meanwhile, the new Fitness Index evaluates metrics such as heart rate, VO2 Max, and daily activity levels to provide personalized fitness goals and progress tracking.
Redesigned Samsung Health Experience
The updated Samsung Health app features a streamlined interface organized into five key categories: Sleep, Activity, Nutrition, Mindfulness, and Vitals. Users can also access AI-powered wellness insights and Energy Score recommendations directly from the home screen, making it easier to understand how various aspects of their lifestyle impact overall health.
Enhanced Wellness and Hearing Protection
Samsung has further upgraded existing health tools, including the Antioxidant Index, which now provides improved trend tracking and historical data to help users better understand the impact of their nutritional habits.
The company has also expanded its wellness ecosystem with a new Hearing Health feature. Using Galaxy Watch sensors, the system monitors surrounding noise levels and provides personalized insights to help protect hearing health in different environments.
A Connected Galaxy Health Ecosystem
Samsung says the new features are part of its broader vision for an AI-powered health platform that seamlessly integrates across Galaxy smartphones, wearables, and connected devices. By combining advanced sensors, AI-driven analytics, and ecosystem connectivity, the company aims to deliver more personalized and proactive health management experiences.
The new Samsung Health features will debut alongside Samsung’s upcoming generation of Galaxy Watch devices, offering users a more intelligent and connected approach to everyday wellness.
