Samsung Combines Bespoke AI WindFree AC with Galaxy Wearables for Better Sleep

Hot and humid nights can make getting a good night’s sleep a challenge, and Samsung says this is becoming an important factor when consumers choose an air conditioner. According to a recent Samsung survey of 1,233 respondents across Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam, 80% cited heat or humidity disrupting sleep as a key reason for purchasing cooling solutions.

Samsung’s solution combines its 2026 Bespoke AI WindFree air conditioner with compatible Galaxy wearables such as the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring through Samsung SmartThings. The combination enables the new ‘WindFree™ Wearable Good Sleep’ mode, which can automatically adjust the air conditioner once the wearable detects that the user has fallen asleep.

Instead of blowing cold air directly at the user, WindFree™ cooling gently disperses air through thousands of micro air holes, providing a more comfortable and draft-free cooling experience.

Once ‘Good Sleep’ mode is activated, the air conditioner can adjust its temperature throughout the night according to different stages of the sleep cycle. It initially cools the room quickly as the user falls asleep, maintains a comfortable temperature during deeper sleep, and gradually raises the temperature towards waking time.

The setup is handled through SmartThings. Users need to connect their Bespoke AI WindFree air conditioner and compatible Galaxy wearable to their Galaxy ecosystem, then create a Sleep routine in the SmartThings app. Under the routine settings, users can select “When you fall asleep” as the trigger and set the air conditioner to activate Good Sleep or WindFree + Good Sleep.

After that, simply wearing the Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Ring to bed allows the wearable to detect when the user falls asleep and trigger the preset air conditioner settings automatically.

The Galaxy wearable can also monitor sleep patterns and provide sleep insights, giving users a better view of their nightly routines.

Samsung’s Bespoke AI WindFree air conditioner also features AI Fast & Comfort Cooling, which can quickly cool the room based on conditions and usage patterns before transitioning to WindFree cooling once the desired comfort level is reached.

The feature is compatible with selected Galaxy wearables, including Galaxy Watch 4 or later, Galaxy Fit3 or later and Galaxy Ring, when connected through a compatible Samsung smartphone and SmartThings.
