Insta360 X6 Launches as the Brand’s Most Advanced 360 Camera Yet
Insta360 has officially unveiled the Insta360 X6, its new flagship 8K 360 camera and the biggest evolution in the company’s X Series to date.
Marking Insta360’s 10th anniversary in the 360-camera market, the X6 is designed as an all-in-one camera for travel, adventure, content creation and everyday shooting.

The biggest highlight is its 3-in-1 camera capability. The X6 can operate as an 8K 360 camera, subject-tracking gimbal-style camera and single-lens action camera, allowing creators to switch shooting styles with a tap.
For 360 capture, the X6 uses custom dual Sony 1/1.1-inch square sensors to deliver 1-inch-equivalent 360 imaging, with significantly improved light intake compared with its predecessor. Its triple AI chip system provides substantially more processing power, while new low-light technology and AdaptiveTone 2.0 help improve detail, colour and dynamic range in challenging lighting conditions.
The X6 is also the first 360 camera to feature native in-camera Dolby Vision, combined with 10-bit colour and support for more than 1.07 billion recordable colours.
For creators who prefer ready-to-share content, InstaFrame 2.0 can automatically track people, pets and objects to produce flat 4K footage directly from the camera. Meanwhile, single-lens mode supports up to 5K60fps, with up to 170-degree wide-angle capture and 4K120fps slow-motion recording.
Another major upgrade is Insta360 PanoMind, an AI system designed specifically for 360-degree footage. Its AI Director can analyse footage directly on the camera and automatically create highlight videos while the X6 is charging, reducing the need for manual editing.
The X6 also features a 2.32-inch 1200-nit OLED display, a new 2600mAh Xtreme Battery capable of up to 140 minutes of 8K30fps recording, 20m waterproofing without a case, and 47GB of usable built-in storage.
For more demanding creators, the camera supports I-Log, 10-bit recording and Insta360 Studio for professional post-production. FlowState Stabilization and 360 Horizon Lock help keep footage smooth and level, while Wi-Fi 6 and USB 3.0 provide faster file transfers.
Insta360 is also offering more than 100 accessories for the X6, covering activities such as motorcycling, cycling, diving, driving and long-form recording. The new Invisible Dive Case Pro allows underwater shooting down to 60 metres.
The Insta360 X6 goes on sale from 12 August 2026, with the Standard Bundle priced from RM2899. Additional bundles, including the Essentials Bundle at RM3199, will also be available.
As part of the launch promotion, customers who purchase and activate the X6 before 30 September 2026 can receive one year of Insta360+ Premium cloud storage at 500GB, along with three months of Moments Pro.
With its combination of 8K 360 capture, action-camera functionality, advanced stabilization and AI-powered editing, the Insta360 X6 is shaping up to be one of the most versatile cameras for creators who want to capture everything without carrying multiple devices.
