iQOO has globally introduced the iQOO 16, its latest flagship smartphone focused on high-end gaming and performance. The device is expected to launch in Malaysia in November 2026, bringing the new Snapdragon platform and a 2K 165Hz Samsung Display to local users.

The iQOO 16 is among the first smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and is the first device to feature a 2K 165Hz Samsung Everest Display, developed jointly by iQOO and Samsung Display.

2K 165Hz Samsung Everest Display

The 6.8-inch-class display combines 2K resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate, delivering sharper visuals and smoother motion. It reaches up to 2,800 nits global peak brightness, while iQOO claims up to 31% lower power consumption compared with a same-size 1.5K panel.

The phone supports 165Hz operation across more than 100 apps and 50 games. Its Q-flex touch technology is designed to reduce latency, while frame synchronisation helps improve clarity during fast-paced gaming.

Built for Mobile Gaming

The iQOO 16 is built around iQOO’s 3+2 Gaming Technology Framework, combining graphics, controls and system tuning with cross-device gaming and livestreaming.

Its Q4 esports chip delivers improvements in graphics performance, cache speed and AI processing. The device also supports features such as ray tracing, game super resolution and frame interpolation, bringing more advanced graphical effects to mobile gaming.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, paired with LPDDR5X Ultra Pro memory and UFS 4.1 storage. An 8.5K Ice Dome VC cooling system helps manage heat during demanding workloads, while the Monster Core Engine optimises system resources to maintain performance.

iQOO also says the phone can support 165Hz gaming in more than 100 titles, with selected games offering combinations of 2K resolution and high frame rates.

Gaming Beyond the Phone

The iQOO 16 includes a built-in PC game emulator supporting nearly 100 PC titles. When connected to a larger display, Game Space Large Screen Mode provides a dedicated gaming environment.

For content creators, the device supports high-frame-rate livestreaming, original-quality encoding and dedicated tools for games such as Honor of Kings.

Flagship Camera System

The camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and CIPA 5.5 stabilisation, alongside a 50MP Sony super-periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.

iQOO has also incorporated its NICE 3.0 optical reconstruction engine and Ultra-Light HDR technology for improved detail, colour and low-light photography.

Large Battery and Premium Features

The iQOO 16 packs an 8,400mAh battery, supporting 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Other features include OriginOS 7, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, dual-axis motor, symmetrical dual speakers, Esports Network System 3.0 and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance.

The phone will be offered in Chasing Light, Legend and Racing Track finishes, with configurations ranging from 12GB + 256GB to 16GB + 1TB.

The iQOO 16 is expected to arrive in Malaysia in November 2026, with local pricing and availability details to be announced closer to launch.
