Usually, the market is filled with the standard earbuds that fit comfortably in your ears, which are commonly available. Despite this commonality, they do offer the advantage of being fully wireless and providing an immersive experience for your ears. However, now we have the AeroFit earbuds with an open ear style, which have been newly launched by Soundcore.
Who is this for ?
Its basically targeted towards casual users, but most importantly those who are actively outdoors, be it on the road, in a mall or even those who loves to workout, which is an advantage for music listening with surrounding aware over open or closed areas.
Design
The AeroFit earbuds have an open design, which means that the drivers will be positioned outside your ears while wearing them. This also implies that there is no discomfort while wearing it, as it securely attaches to your ear, allowing you to wear it for extended periods of music listening and online meetings without any strain. Furthermore, the hook utilizes a soft yet durable material, and I have no further comments on this aspect as it remains comfortable while I remain constantly mobile. The primary materials utilized in making the drivers are titanium and polymer.
The AeroFit weighs only 8.5 grams by itself, but when combined with the case and earbuds, it totals 65 grams, still remaining one of the lightest options for easily portable earbuds. The slim case is charged through a USB C cable. In terms of color, you can choose between White or Black.
Performance, Interface, Software
The Soundcore AeroFit works with iOS and Android on regular Bluetooth connection, and for improved compatibility and functionality, install Soundcore from Google Play or Apple AppStore. Once every connection is made, simply put on your AeroFit earphones. The Soundcore AeroFit can have two simultaneous connections. This allows for easy switching, either manually or automatically, providing flexibility.
Let’s delve deeper into the functionalities of the Soundcore App. It is essential to have the app if you want to customize tapping instances, pre-set equalizer, enable surround 3D sound and manage multiple connections in the future. Nonetheless, that is essentially all the app can offer and that is essentially what one should pay attention to; it is meant to be straightforward and not complex in the end.
Experience
Wearing it may feel strange at first, especially for those accustomed to traditional earbuds like myself, but after wearing it for over 15 minutes, I gradually became more accustomed to it and felt its presence. I can still hear my surroundings while enjoying music through my ears with the advantage of 14mm drivers that deliver tunes flawlessly, despite feeling slightly distant at times. In slightly enclosed or quiet surroundings, it can still provide most of the very detailed notes and precise vocals that those who appreciate them love. However, this is extremely suitable for going out and exercising. Since this is an open style buds, there is no ANC but you don’t need that anyway.
Verdict & Conclusion
The Soundcore Aerofit is a fittingly take on a recommended starter open earbuds towards those who wanted music to their ears but actively moving around with awareness in mind, and with such design and reasons behind, the price seems right too retailing at RM499, hence if this fits your requirement, I say it’s a worthy take to get one for your music and communications needs on the go, or workouts.
