The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) has introduced Flavours of KLCC, a new annual showcase highlighting its culinary offerings, event services and technical production capabilities for 2027.

The inaugural event brought together a variety of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western-inspired cuisine, featuring festive selections for Chinese New Year and Hari Raya, alongside menus tailored for conferences, corporate meetings, private functions and celebrations. Guests also experienced the Centre’s expanded technical production services, including digital advertising content, drone filming and photography.

Robert Hatton-Jones, Deputy General Manager of the Centre, said the showcase gives clients and partners an opportunity to explore its offerings and discover new ideas for future events.

The Centre’s culinary team continues to develop menus based on each event’s purpose, audience and format. Highlights from the showcase included Master Carver Kambing Panggang, Signature Prosperity & Heritage Yee Sang and Laksa Sarawak, alongside appetisers, main courses, desserts and live cooking stations. The evening also featured a performance by the Malaysia Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.

Executive Chef Hisham Jaafar said the team aims to create dining experiences that reflect each occasion while delivering memorable flavours and quality execution.

Beyond food and hospitality, the event highlighted the Centre’s expanded in-house technical production team, introduced earlier this year. These services are designed to support event planning, delivery and content production, giving clients more options under one roof.

The showcase follows a significant year for the Centre. In 2026, it became Malaysia’s first purpose-built venue to receive ISO 20121 Event Sustainability Management certification and also received the Prime Minister’s Hibiscus Award for Sustainable Convention and Exhibition Centres.

The Centre has hosted 43 international conferences in 2026, welcoming more than 40,093 delegates. A further 27 conferences are confirmed for 2027, with an expected attendance of over 27,170 delegates.

With the launch of Flavours of KLCC, the Centre aims to offer clients and partners a broader look at its culinary, hospitality, event and technical capabilities as it prepares for the year ahead.
