OPPO A7 Pro Series 5G Launches in Malaysia with Large Batteries and AI Cameras

OPPO has officially launched the A7 Pro 5G and A7 Pro Max 5G in Malaysia, combining AI-powered imaging features, large-capacity batteries and improved performance in nature-inspired designs.

The OPPO A7 Pro 5G features a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,400 nits brightness and a 92.8% screen-to-body ratio. It comes in Surfing Blue, Shine Titanium and Bloom Pink, with a 3D Wave Texture finish.

The A7 Pro Max 5G offers a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED Ultra Bright display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. Available in Surfing Blue and Lunar Black, it also features a curved camera module and Multi-Color Breathing Light for customisable notifications.

Both models are equipped with a 50MP Ultra-Wide AI Zoom Selfie Camera featuring a 100-degree field of view. The AI Auto Wide Angle Switch automatically changes between 1x and 0.6x framing depending on the number of people in the shot, while Natural Tone helps produce more realistic skin tones and colours.

The A7 Pro 5G comes with a 1/2-inch main camera sensor designed to capture 70% more light than its predecessor. The A7 Pro Max 5G adds optical image stabilisation, AI Night Mode, Image Optimisation and a rear Power Flash. Both devices support AI-powered tools such as AI Portrait Glow, AI Popout and AI Remix Collage.

Under the hood, the A7 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX platform, supported by NetworkBoost Chip S1, AI LinkBoost 4.0 and AI GameBoost 3.0. The A7 Pro Max 5G uses the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 platform and includes a 5,000mm² SuperCool VC cooling system, NetworkBoost Chip S1 and a dedicated Touch Response Chip.

OPPO’s Adaptive Scheduling Architecture, Collaborative Memory Scheduling and ColorOS Smoothness Boost are designed to maintain responsive performance over time. Both phones have also passed OPPO’s six-year smoothness testing.

Battery capacity is another key highlight. The A7 Pro 5G houses an 8,000mAh battery with support for reverse wired charging, while the A7 Pro Max 5G features a 10,000mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge, reaching a full charge in approximately 91 minutes. Both models offer up to IP69K protection and military-grade shock resistance.

The OPPO A7 Pro 5G starts from RM1,699, with 6GB+256GB and 8GB+256GB configurations. The OPPO A7 Pro Max 5G (8GB+256GB) is priced at RM2,499.
