Emirates Renews Tourism Malaysia Partnership to Boost Visitor Arrivals
Emirates has renewed its strategic partnership with Tourism Malaysia through a new one-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at promoting Malaysia as a tourism destination and supporting the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 campaign.
The agreement was signed by Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, Far East, and Mohd Amirul Rizal Abdul Rahim, Director General of Tourism Malaysia. The signing was witnessed by representatives from Malaysia’s Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture and Emirates.
Under the renewed partnership, Emirates will promote Malaysia across its international network while working with Tourism Malaysia on joint marketing and advertising activities. The collaboration will also include familiarisation trips for international media and travel industry partners.
Both parties will also explore opportunities linked to Tourism Malaysia’s participation in the Arabian Travel Market, helping strengthen Malaysia’s visibility among travellers from the Middle East and other international markets.
The partnership comes as Tourism Malaysia extends its Visit Malaysia campaign into 2027, with a target of 47 million international visitor arrivals. Emirates’ extensive network and connectivity through Dubai are expected to support efforts to attract more visitors to Malaysia.
Emirates has been serving Malaysia for three decades, and the renewed agreement continues its cooperation with Tourism Malaysia in promoting the country to international travellers.
The partnership will focus on increasing Malaysia’s international exposure and supporting visitor arrivals, longer stays and tourism-related spending through coordinated promotional activities.
