Rapidus Corporation and Cadence have announced a strategic collaboration to advance AI-powered semiconductor development by integrating the Cadence InnoStack AI Super Agent into the Rapidus AI-Agentic Design Solution (Raads).

The partnership aims to streamline advanced-node system-on-chip (SoC) development by combining Rapidus’ AI-native design and manufacturing ecosystem with Cadence’s agentic AI orchestration technology. Together, the companies are targeting up to a 2X improvement in design turnaround time (TAT) compared to traditional design workflows.

As part of the collaboration, Rapidus has introduced two new AI-powered tools, Raads Navigator and Raads Indicator, which are designed to enhance quality assurance, identify design issues, and support engineers throughout the chip development process. Integrated with the Cadence InnoStack AI Super Agent, these tools help automate and coordinate key design stages, from architecture exploration to implementation and signoff.

The companies believe the AI-driven workflow will improve engineering productivity, enhance design quality, and simplify the growing complexity of advanced semiconductor development.

Cadence President and CEO Anirudh Devgan said the collaboration extends agentic AI across the semiconductor ecosystem, enabling customers to accelerate design closure and bring next-generation chips to market more quickly.

Rapidus CEO Dr. Atsuyoshi Koike added that the company’s upcoming AI-native foundry will leverage AI throughout semiconductor manufacturing, with the enhanced Raads platform playing a key role in reducing design time while maximizing the benefits of Rapidus’ advanced process technologies.

Rapidus and Cadence will showcase the collaboration at CadenceLIVE Japan 2026, where they will discuss how AI-driven electronic design automation (EDA) can improve efficiency, productivity, and quality in advanced SoC development.
