LG Electronics Earns NVIDIA Certification for AI Data Center Cooling Solution
LG Electronics has achieved NVIDIA certification for its 600kW Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU), validating the company’s advanced liquid cooling technology for AI data centers. The certification confirms that LG’s solution meets NVIDIA’s stringent AI Factory infrastructure standards, reinforcing its position in the rapidly growing AI infrastructure market.
LG’s 600kW CDU successfully passed more than 100 technical evaluation criteria, covering cooling performance, reliability, and failover capabilities. The certification also establishes LG as an officially verified NVIDIA AI Factory partner, giving hyperscalers and data center operators greater confidence when deploying large-scale AI infrastructure.
Designed for high-performance AI servers, the CDU uses Direct-to-Chip (DTC) liquid cooling, delivering coolant directly to GPUs and CPUs for efficient heat management. It offers ±0.25°C temperature control precision, virtual sensor technology for real-time monitoring and leak detection, and integrates with LG’s Data Center Cooling Control Manager (DCCM) for predictive monitoring and centralized management.
LG’s broader Chip-to-Chiller portfolio includes chillers, CDUs, and cold plates, providing end-to-end cooling solutions for AI data centers. The company plans to expand its NVIDIA-certified lineup with 1MW, 2.5MW, and 4MW CDU models to support next-generation AI infrastructure.
Building on over 60 years of HVAC expertise, LG has already secured major AI data center cooling projects, including hyperscaler facilities in North America and Indonesia’s SM+ Data Center, further strengthening its presence in the global AI infrastructure market.
