LG Channels Surpasses 5,000 Channels Globally, Expands to 37 Countries
LG Electronics has announced a major milestone for its LG Channels free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) platform, which now offers more than 5,000 channels worldwide and is available in 37 countries following its latest expansion into Poland.
The company continues to strengthen its webOS ecosystem by delivering localized live TV, movies, sports, news, and entertainment content tailored to regional audiences across North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.
LG Channels also recorded strong growth in 2025, with monthly active users increasing by 30% year-over-year and total viewing time rising by 45%, reflecting the growing popularity of free streaming services on connected TVs.
To drive regional engagement, LG is investing heavily in localized programming. In North America, the platform has introduced exclusive channels such as ALL CHEWED UP and LG Channels World Pup, while Europe continues to expand with partnerships involving Sky, Banijay, BBC Studios, and dedicated K-content channels in Poland.
Latin America remains another key growth market, where LG has strengthened its sports offerings with the addition of Brazil’s popular CazéTV, while Asian markets such as India and Taiwan are seeing increased investment in local-language movies, dramas, news, and digital content under LG’s “Local First” strategy.
Beyond content expansion, LG is enhancing the viewing experience through AI-powered content recommendations, improved user interface design, and ongoing webOS optimizations. These innovations recently earned LG Channels the “New Technology Award” at the 2026 Global OTT Awards.
Looking ahead, LG plans to further expand LG Channels globally while strengthening partnerships with both international and local content providers, reinforcing webOS as a comprehensive entertainment platform for smart TV users worldwide.
