ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 (2026) Now Available in Malaysia, Here’s Everything You Need to Know

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Malaysia has officially launched the 2026 editions of its Zephyrus G14 and G16 gaming laptops in the local market. Designed with both gamers and creative professionals in mind, the new lineup combines cutting-edge processing power with a slim, travel-friendly build.
Serious Performance in a Slim Package
Thermal management gets a major upgrade in this generation. The Zephyrus G14 comes with up to a quad-heatpipe cooling setup, while the G16 steps up to a vapor chamber both working alongside Tri-fan Technology and a redesigned ventilation layout to keep temperatures and noise levels in check during demanding sessions.
On the processor side, both models are available with the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H, which features a tile-based modular architecture capable of up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance making them fully certified Copilot+ PCs. The G14 tops out at an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, while the larger G16 can be configured with up to an RTX 5090. An AMD Ryzen AI 9 465-powered variant of the G14 is also available, equally qualifying for Copilot+ certification with the same NPU performance threshold.
Display That Does Justice to Every Frame
Every model in the 2026 Zephyrus lineup ships with a ROG Nebula HDR OLED panel, the brightest OLED screens ever featured on a gaming laptop, reaching up to 1,100 nits peak HDR brightness. The G14 runs a 3K/120Hz panel while the G16 offers a 2.5K/240Hz screen, both delivering a 0.2ms response time, full DCI-P3 color coverage, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification.
Color accuracy is production-ready straight out of the box, with a Delta E of less than 1. Corning Gorilla Glass with DXC coating adds scratch resistance and cuts down on glare. Both models also feature a six-speaker audio system and an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts display brightness to suit the environment.
Built to Go Anywhere
The G14 starts at just 1.5kg, making it one of the lightest gaming laptops in its class. The G16, starting at 1.85kg, offers more screen space without becoming a burden to carry. Both come in Platinum White and Eclipse Grey colorways, housed in precision CNC-milled aluminum chassis.
A standout visual touch is the newly expanded Slash Lighting array on the lid upgraded from 7 zones to 35, giving users far greater flexibility in lighting customisation and animation design.
Connectivity is equally well-equipped, with dual Thunderbolt 4-capable USB-C ports (each supporting 100W power delivery and DisplayPort output), two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a full-size HDMI 2.1 port, an SD or microSD card reader, and a headphone jack. WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 round out the wireless capabilities.
Pricing and Availability in Malaysia
Both models are available exclusively on the ASUS e-Store from 17 May 2026, with early-bird bundles offering accessories worth up to RM1,437. General retail availability begins 24 May 2026.
