LG Electronics Earns “Top 1%” Sustainability Ranking From S&P Global for Third Consecutive Year
LG Electronics has once again strengthened its position as a global ESG leader after receiving a “Top 1%” ranking in S&P Global’s 2026 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) for the third consecutive year.
The company achieved a score of 77 out of 100, the highest within the Leisure Equipment & Products and Consumer Electronics category, highlighting LG’s continued commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) excellence.
Out of 9,243 companies evaluated across 62 industries, only 70 companies earned the prestigious “Top 1%” distinction, with LG being one of just two Korean companies to achieve the recognition.
Strong ESG Performance Across Multiple Areas
LG received high scores in several key areas, including:
- Environmental policies
- Human rights
- Supply chain management
- Customer relations
- Corporate governance
The company was also recognised for improving transparency and strengthening board independence as part of its governance initiatives.

Beyond S&P Global’s assessment, LG continues to receive recognition from major international ESG institutions.
The company was included in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index for the 14th consecutive year — the longest record achieved by a Korean home appliance company.
LG also earned:
- An upgraded “AA” MSCI ESG Rating
- A second consecutive “Platinum” EcoVadis rating
- A “Low” ESG Risk Rating from Sustainalytics
