Samsung Electronics has unveiled its largest-capacity consumer SSD yet, the 9100 PRO 8TB PCIe® 5.0 NVMe™ SSD, bringing together unprecedented storage and breakthrough performance for AI-driven workloads, professional content creators, and gamers.
Building on the earlier 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB models, the new 8TB version delivers sequential read speeds up to 14,800 MB/s and write speeds up to 13,400 MB/s, doubling the performance of the previous 990 PRO generation.

Despite its expanded storage, the drive is up to 49% more power-efficient than its predecessor thanks to a 5nm controller and firmware optimisations. The slim 11.25mm heatsink version provides effective cooling and is even compatible with the PlayStation® 5, offering flexibility for gamers.
