HTC has launched the VIVE Eagle, a lightweight pair of AI-powered glasses that blend premium design with everyday smart features, marking the company’s latest move into intelligent wearables.
Weighing under 49g, the VIVE Eagle integrates voice assistance, music playback, smart photography, and real-time translation into a sleek frame available in four colours – Berry, Coffee, Grey, and Black. Designed for comfort, it features adjustable nose pads, ergonomically shaped temples, and ZEISS sun lenses with UV protection.
Open-Ear Audio and Hands-Free AI

The open-ear design delivers spatial audio with virtual bass enhancement, keeping users aware of their surroundings while minimising sound leakage. A 12MP ultra-wide camera paired with HTC’s VIVE AI assistant (supporting OpenAI GPT and Google Gemini) enables hands-free photography and video capture via simple voice commands.
Productivity and Real-Time Translation
VIVE Eagle can record notes, set reminders, and offer recommendations through voice interaction. Its AI-powered translation works in 13 languages, instantly converting text captured by the camera into spoken audio – without requiring a phone.
Battery Life, Charging, and Privacy
The glasses offer up to 4.5 hours of continuous music playback or 36 hours standby, with magnetic fast charging providing 50% power in just 10 minutes. Data is stored locally and protected with AES-256 encryption; recording is always indicated by an LED light, with automatic shutoff if removed or obstructed.
Availability
Priced at NT$15,600, VIVE Eagle is now available for pre-order in Taiwan at 2020EYEhaus outlets (with optical fitting services) and designated Taiwan Mobile stores until 31 August 2025. Purchases include sun lenses, a protective case, and two years of VIVE AI Plus at no extra cost. General sales begin 1 September, with options to bundle through Taiwan Mobile rate plans.
