UGREEN Nexode Pro Power Bank, Air Charger & Retractable USB-C Cable Honkai: Star Rail Edition Review

Charging accessories are usually some of the least exciting products in our tech collection. A power bank keeps your phone alive, a wall charger powers your devices, and a USB-C cable connects everything together. However, UGREEN has managed to make its latest charging accessories considerably more interesting by giving them a Honkai: Star Rail makeover.

The new collection combines UGREEN’s Nexode charging technology with the visual style of HoYoverse’s popular space-fantasy RPG. For this review, we’re looking at three products from the collection: the UGREEN Nexode Pro Power Bank Honkai: Star Rail Edition, UGREEN Nexode Air Charger Honkai: Star Rail Edition, and UGREEN Nexode Retractable USB-C Cable Honkai: Star Rail Edition.

What makes the collection particularly interesting is that these aren’t just collectible gaming accessories. Underneath the themed exterior are genuinely capable charging products designed for everyday use. I found that the combination makes a surprisingly practical charging kit, especially for travelling.

A Charging Setup With Personality

Instead of the usual black, white or grey finishes found on most chargers and power banks, UGREEN has given these products a distinctive blue-and-gold treatment inspired by Yao Guang. The artwork is immediately recognisable to Honkai: Star Rail fans, while the metallic accents and decorative elements give the products a premium appearance.

I particularly like that UGREEN hasn’t simply printed a large game logo onto its existing products. The design feels integrated into the products themselves, making the three accessories look like part of the same collection. At the same time, they don’t look excessively flashy. You could easily have the charger sitting on a work desk without it looking completely out of place. For fans, that’s an important advantage because these products can function as both useful accessories and collectibles.

Nexode Pro Power Bank: Compact and Capable

Of the three products, the Nexode Pro Power Bank is probably the most interesting. It packs a 10,000mAh battery into a relatively compact body and supports up to 55W output. That’s enough to make it considerably more useful than a basic emergency power bank. For everyday use, 10,000mAh remains a good compromise. Larger power banks provide more capacity, but they also become heavier and less convenient to carry around.

One of its most convenient features is the integrated USB-C cable which eliminates one of the small but annoying problems with power banks which is to remember to carry a separate cable. When your phone needs more power, simply take out the power bank and connect the built-in cable. The braided finish also matches the premium design of the power bank.

There is a trade-off, though. Since the cable is integrated, you can’t simply replace it if it eventually becomes damaged. The relatively short cable can also feel a little restrictive when you’re using the phone while it is connected to the power bank. Still, for quick charging while travelling, I found the convenience more useful than the limitation. The power bank also includes USB-C and USB-A ports, giving you additional flexibility and allowing multiple devices to be charged.

Another feature I appreciate is the digital display. Rather than relying on four indicator lights, the display gives you a much clearer idea of how much battery remains. It’s a small addition, but it’s one of those features that becomes surprisingly useful once you get used to it. Overall, the Nexode Pro offers a good balance of capacity, charging speed and portability, while the Honkai: Star Rail design gives it considerably more character than a standard power bank.

Nexode Air Charger: Small Size, Plenty of Power

The Nexode Air Charger takes a different approach that is a compact 65W GaN charger designed primarily for use at home, in the office or while travelling. Despite offering enough power for many smartphones, tablets and USB-C laptops, the charger remains remarkably compact. The foldable plug also makes it much easier to pack into a travel bag. This is particularly useful if you’re someone who travels frequently and doesn’t want to carry several large charging bricks.

It comes with single 65W charger that can handle your PD/PPS compatible smartphone, tablet or even a compatible laptop which uses GaN technology to deliver this level of power in a much smaller form factor than traditional chargers. The charger has a single USB-C port, so it isn’t designed to replace a multi-port desktop charger. Instead, its philosophy is straightforward: keep the charger small and provide plenty of power to one device. For travel, I actually think this makes sense as there’s no point carrying a large multi-port charger when you only need to charge your laptop or phone at any particular time.

The charger also comes with a matching 100W USB-C cable, so you have everything needed to get started straight away.

Nexode Retractable USB-C Cable: Goodbye, Cable Mess

The third product might be the simplest, but it is arguably the most convenient. The Nexode Retractable USB-C Cable supports up to 100W charging, but its biggest selling point is the retractable design. If you’ve ever thrown a charging cable into your bag only to pull it out later and discover a tangled mess, you’ll immediately appreciate the concept. The cable can be pulled out to the length you need and then retracted into its compact housing when you’re finished.

It’s particularly handy when travelling because you don’t have to deal with a long cable taking up space inside your bag. The cable also has enough capacity for higher-powered devices, including compatible laptops, so it isn’t something you’ll necessarily need to replace when you upgrade your devices. The only thing to keep in mind is that the retractable mechanism needs a little more care than a conventional cable. There’s no reason to force it or aggressively pull the cable.

Is It Worth Buying?

The biggest question is whether you should choose the Honkai: Star Rail editions over the standard UGREEN versions. From a pure value perspective, the answer will probably depend on the pricing difference. The themed versions don’t suddenly offer dramatically more charging performance simply because they feature Yao Guang artwork but of course you’re paying extra for the design and collectability. But for fans, that’s precisely the appeal unlike some gaming merchandise that ends up sitting on a shelf, these products are accessories you’ll actually use.

Final Verdict & Conclusion

Rating

The UGREEN Nexode Pro Power Bank, Nexode Air Charger and Nexode Retractable USB-C Cable Honkai: Star Rail Edition are a refreshing take on something that is normally quite boring. UGREEN hasn’t sacrificed practicality for the sake of the collaboration. Instead, it has taken capable Nexode charging products and given them a distinctive Honkai: Star Rail identity.

For non-gamers, UGREEN’s standard Nexode products may offer better value. But for Honkai: Star Rail fans, these editions are considerably more appealing. They combine useful charging technology with a design that feels like genuine fan merchandise rather than a simple logo collaboration.

If you’re already a Honkai: Star Rail fan and looking to upgrade your everyday charging setup, the UGREEN Nexode Honkai: Star Rail Edition collection is an easy one to consider. It’s functional, portable and, most importantly, actually fun to use.
