ASUS Launches TUF Gaming Platinum Power Supply Series with Next-Gen GaN Efficiency

TUF Gaming Platinum KV

ASUS has officially introduced its new TUF Gaming Platinum power supply series, bringing premium-grade efficiency, durability, and next-generation power delivery to gamers and PC builders looking for reliable high-performance hardware.

The new series will be available in 850W, 1000W, and 1200W models, combining advanced Gallium Nitride (GaN) MOSFET technology, military-grade components, and full support for modern ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards.

Expected to arrive in Malaysia in mid-June 2026, the TUF Gaming Platinum lineup is designed to deliver stable, efficient, and long-lasting performance for gaming rigs, creative workstations, and demanding PC setups.

GaN Technology Brings Higher Efficiency

One of the key highlights of the new series is its use of GaN MOSFET technology, which offers significant advantages over traditional silicon-based components.

GaN transistors switch faster, waste less energy as heat, and deliver better overall efficiency. ASUS claims the new design can provide up to 30% greater power efficiency, ensuring more energy is delivered directly to system components while reducing unnecessary heat generation.

The smaller size of GaN components also allows ASUS to optimise the internal PSU layout for better airflow and improved cooling performance.

Quiet and Cooler Operation

The TUF Gaming Platinum series is engineered for low-noise operation, maintaining sound levels below 30dB even during heavy workloads.

Each unit features dual-ball bearing fans, which offer longer lifespan and more consistent cooling performance compared to standard sleeve-bearing fan designs.

This ensures quieter performance during extended gaming sessions, rendering workloads, or other intensive tasks.

Built for Long-Term Reliability

Staying true to the TUF Gaming reputation for durability, ASUS has equipped the new power supplies with several reliability-focused enhancements.

These include:

  • Military-grade Japanese capacitors
  • Protective PCB coating against dust and moisture
  • Enhanced thermal efficiency
  • An 8-year warranty

These features are designed to ensure stable power delivery and dependable long-term performance.

Ready for Modern Graphics Cards

The new PSU series is fully compatible with ATX 3.1 and includes a 16-pin PCIe cable capable of delivering up to 600W, making it ready for the latest and future PCIe 5.1 graphics cards.

The fully modular cable design also makes installation easier while helping users maintain cleaner cable management and improved airflow inside the PC chassis.
