HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series Arrives in Malaysia with New Health and Sports Features

Huawei Malaysia has officially launched the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series, bringing new health insights, smarter sports tracking and extended battery life to Malaysian users.

The new lineup includes the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 in 46mm and 41mm sizes, alongside the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro, with prices starting from RM1,199.

Among the key additions is a Malaysia-exclusive Diabetes Risk Study, led by Universiti Malaya, together with a new Physical Readiness Score, enhanced positioning technology and expanded sports features. The GT 7 Pro and GT 7 46mm can deliver up to 21 days of battery life under light-use conditions, while the 41mm model offers up to 14 days.

Designed for Everyday Wear

The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series combines a refined design with durability for both everyday use and outdoor activities. The GT 7 comes in different colour options across its 46mm and 41mm variants, while the GT 7 Pro features a premium combination of nano-tech ceramic, aerospace-grade titanium alloy and sapphire glass.

The series also offers IP69 dust protection and 5 ATM water resistance, alongside a new HUAWEI EasyCross Strap designed for a secure and comfortable fit.

Its AMOLED displays can reach up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, helping improve visibility when used outdoors.

New Health Insights

One of the highlights for Malaysian users is the HUAWEI-exclusive Diabetes Risk Study, a research initiative led by Universiti Malaya.

The study uses pulse-wave data collected through the watch’s PPG sensor, combined with information such as age, gender, height and weight, to assess potential diabetes risk after three to 14 days of continuous wear.

Huawei stresses that the assessment is designed for health awareness and does not diagnose diabetes. Users should seek professional medical advice where appropriate.

The GT 7 Series also includes Pulse Wave Arrhythmia Analysis and the new Physical Readiness Score, which brings together factors such as recovery, heart-rate variability, sleep, activity and emotional wellbeing to provide a daily readiness assessment.

The GT 7 Pro further adds ECG and Arterial Stiffness Assessment, while the series includes features for sleep, women’s health and emotional wellbeing through the Huawei Health ecosystem.

Smarter Sports and Outdoor Tracking

For outdoor activities, the new AI-XDR Positioning system combines GNSS data, onboard sensors and positioning algorithms to improve route tracking in challenging environments.

Features such as Smart Route Reconstruction, Segment Navigation, Route Back, offline maps and GPX route import are available for activities including hiking and trail running. Strava integration also allows users to track and share their activities.

Cyclists can access tools such as Climb Planning, Climb Broadcast and Sharp Turn Alerts, while AI Workout Analysis provides additional insights into training and recovery.

The GT 7 Pro expands its outdoor capabilities with golf features such as Plays-like Distance and Shot Distance, as well as freediving support down to 40 metres.

There is also support for skiing, snowboarding and racket sports, with dedicated apps offering additional performance metrics for tennis, pickleball and badminton.

Up to 21 Days of Battery Life

Huawei’s high-silicon stacked battery technology allows the GT 7 Pro and GT 7 46mm to run for up to 21 days under light-use conditions, while the GT 7 41mm provides up to 14 days.

The watches also support Touch ‘n Go QR Payment and are compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

Pricing and Availability

The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 is priced from RM1,199, while the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro starts at RM1,499.

As part of the launch promotion, customers can receive an RM100 rebate until 31 October 2026, along with selected complimentary gifts worth up to RM713, including the HUAWEI EasyCross Strap, HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 2, HUAWEI Health+ access, Watch Face Membership, a Worry-Free Care Package and one-year APAC Warranty.
