COLORFUL Unveils iGame X870E ULTRA-S V14 Motherboard with PCIe 5.0 Storage and Dual USB4

COLORFUL Technology has announced the iGame X870E ULTRA-S V14, a new AMD X870E motherboard designed for gaming enthusiasts, PC builders and content creators. Combining a distinctive black design with high-end power delivery, advanced memory support and extensive connectivity, the latest addition to the iGame Ultra series targets demanding desktop systems.

The motherboard supports up to four 48GB memory modules, with speeds of up to 6600MHz and CL28 timings. It also features a 16+2+1-phase power design with 80A DrMOS, five M.2 slots, three PCIe 5.0 x4 storage interfaces and two USB4 ports supporting transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps.

Distinctive iGame Ultra Styling

The iGame X870E ULTRA-S V14 carries the series’ bold visual identity, featuring extensive heatsink armour decorated with graffiti-inspired typography and dot-matrix artwork. Pixel-inspired ARGB lighting beneath the VRM nameplate adds gradient illumination to the motherboard’s black finish.

For easier maintenance and upgrades, its heatsink also incorporates a quick-release mechanism for accessing M.2 SSDs without tools, simplifying storage installation and replacement.

Power Delivery for High-End AMD Processors

Designed for demanding processors, the motherboard’s 16+2+1-phase power delivery system uses 80A DrMOS components to provide a robust power foundation for high-end AMD Ryzen chips, including the Ryzen 9 9950X3D.

An integrated clock generator also enables CPU base-clock adjustments, offering enthusiasts additional flexibility when tuning system performance beyond conventional multiplier-based overclocking.

High-Speed Storage and USB4 Connectivity

Storage flexibility is another key feature, with five M.2 slots available for SSD configurations. Three of these support PCIe 5.0 x4 connectivity, allowing users to take advantage of next-generation high-speed storage.

The rear I/O includes two full-featured USB4 ports rated at up to 40Gbps. This provides high-bandwidth connectivity for compatible peripherals and external storage devices, making the motherboard suitable for gaming setups and creative workstations handling tasks such as video editing and 3D content production.

X3D AI Turbo Mode for Ryzen 9000 X3D

COLORFUL has also introduced its X3D AI Turbo Mode, developed by its research and development teams in Shenzhen and Taipei.

Designed for AMD Ryzen 9000 X3D processors, the feature automatically adjusts settings related to Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO), temperature and power limits, and voltage. According to COLORFUL, the optimisation aims to improve gaming performance and reduce frame-rate drops while retaining multi-core productivity performance.

The COLORFUL iGame X870E ULTRA-S V14 motherboard will carry a suggested retail price of CNY 1,899, equivalent to approximately US$265.
