HONOR X Series Remains Malaysia’s No. 1 Mid-Range Smartphone Series for Four Generations
HONOR says its X Series has retained the title of Malaysia’s No. 1 Best-Selling Mid-Range Smartphone Series for four consecutive generations.
According to HONOR’s data, the X Series held the top position for 37 consecutive months from February 2023 to March 2026, reaching a peak 68% market share in Q4 2025.
The series has also grown to more than 130 million users worldwide, with battery life, durability and reliable performance highlighted as some of the key reasons behind its popularity among Malaysian consumers.
Built for Long Battery Life
Long-lasting battery life remains one of the main strengths of the X Series. The latest HONOR X9d 5G features an 8,300mAh Silicon-Carbon Battery, designed to provide extended usage for calls, messaging, gaming and other demanding tasks.
HONOR says users have reported being able to rely on the X9d throughout long workdays, while delivery riders have also highlighted its battery endurance for navigation and customer communications.
Designed to Survive Everyday Accidents
Durability is another area where HONOR has continued to push the X Series.
The HONOR X9b 5G was the first smartphone to receive SGS Five-Star Overall Drop Resistance certification, while the X9d became the first smartphone to receive the SGS Triple-Resistant Premium Performance Certification, covering protection against drops, dust and water.
The X9d also offers IP69K water and dust resistance, giving it additional protection against demanding environments and everyday exposure to rain and other elements.
Performance Without the Premium Price
The X9d is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Mobile Platform, providing enough performance for everyday applications, gaming and content creation.
HONOR says users have praised its gaming performance, including smoother gameplay in demanding titles such as Call of Duty. The device also offers up to 512GB of storage, giving content creators plenty of space for photos, videos and other files.
What’s Next for the HONOR X Series?
After four consecutive generations at the top of Malaysia’s mid-range smartphone segment, HONOR is now preparing for the next chapter of the X Series.
The company has teased the upcoming HONOR X9e Pro, with more details scheduled to be revealed on 7 September 2026.
With the X Series continuing to focus on battery life, durability and performance, it remains to be seen whether the X9e Pro can maintain HONOR’s winning streak in Malaysia’s competitive mid-range smartphone market.
