Got a moment worth capturing? The Huawei XMAGE Awards 2026 is now open, inviting photography enthusiasts across Malaysia to turn everyday scenes into powerful visual stories. Held in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia under the “See, Truly Malaysia” campaign, this year’s competition encourages participants to showcase the nation’s culture, heritage, and landscapes on a global stage.
Now in its 10th edition, the XMAGE Awards is one of the world’s largest mobile photography competitions, drawing millions of entries worldwide. More than just a contest, it’s a platform for creative expression and storytelling through smartphone photography.
Participants stand a chance to gain international recognition and win exciting prizes. Globally, 100 outstanding entries will be selected for the “XMAGE 100,” with 97 winners receiving USD1,500 each. The top three will be crowned “Photographer of the Year,” taking home USD10,000 each. Winning works will also be exhibited at the iconic Grand Palais.
At the local level, Malaysia’s “Power of Image Prizes” offers attractive rewards, including a HUAWEI Mate X7 for the Grand Prize winner, while runners-up can win devices like the HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro and HUAWEI FreeClip 2.
The competition features nine categories such as Faces, Action, Storyboard, and the newly introduced Active Moments, giving creators plenty of ways to express their vision.
Submissions are open from 23 March to 16 August 2026, and can be made via multiple platforms including the My HUAWEI app, HUAWEI Community, and Instagram (via #HUAWEIXMAGEMY2026).
