Ahead of IFA 2024, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has unveiled the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core, an expansion of its Snapdragon X Series portfolio. This new platform brings multi-day battery life, exceptional performance, and AI-driven Copilot+ experiences to a broader audience, particularly in the $700 to $900 price range.
The Snapdragon X Plus 8-core is powered by the custom Qualcomm Oryon™ CPU, which provides 61% faster CPU performance compared to competitors, while requiring 179% less power for peak performance . The platform also features an integrated GPU capable of supporting up to three external monitors, offering a rich visual experience.
At its core, the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core houses a 45 TOPS NPU, delivering high AI processing power with top-tier performance per watt. This makes the platform ideal for a wide range of tasks, from creating presentations on the go to conducting video conferences, all while maintaining remarkable battery life in ultra-portable designs.
