HP unveiled a new 36-inch DesignJet portfolio that streamlines the printing demands of AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) professionals who increasingly operate in a hybrid environment and want a high-quality printing experience whenever and wherever they are.
With 54% of AEC businesses implementing a hybrid work policy , flexible working arrangements are here to stay. This new method has altered processes, requiring components of the project, such as big size printing, to be enabled in a hybrid environment. As a result, customers want intuitive print technology that matches their technical requirements, such as printing A3-A1 CAD drawings or architectural boards, without sacrificing security.
“More than ever, AEC pros, or the copy shops that serve them, need easy-to-use tools that help them be more productive and deliver high-quality work – whether they are in the office, at home or somewhere remote,” said Cheam Jia Kai, Market Development Manager, HP Large Format Design, HP Inc. “With our new HP DesignJet lineup – alongside software such as HP Click and the HP app – users can print, monitor jobs and check device status from virtually anywhere, as well as collaborate on documents with colleagues.”
Sustainable and Secure
HP’s new 36-inch DesignJet range enables users to go above and beyond while meeting their environmental objectives. HP’s Forest First project works with non-profit groups to restore trees with every page printed using the HP DesignJet T850/T950 or XL 3800.
The HP DesignJet T850/T950 are both made of at least 35% recycled materials, utilize cardboard-based cartridges, and, like the DesignJet Smart Tank T858/T908 MFP, may be programmed to turn on and off automatically to save energy. Meanwhile, the HP DesignJet XL 3800 and the T858/T908 MFP include at least 33% recycled material.
HP has also addressed cyber-security by including HP Wolf Security protection in the HP DesignJet T850/T950 and XL 3800. HP Wolf Security offers complete endpoint protection and resiliency that begins with hardware and extends to cloud-based software and services, protecting an organization’s PCs, printers, and people from cyber predators.
Based on third-party study of security measures available on the market, the HP DesignJet XL 3800 is also the world’s most secure large format printer, with added Enterprise-level Wolf security capabilities.
Availability
The HP DesignJet T850/950 and the HP DesignJet XL 3800 are expected to be commercially available in Malaysia starting 1st of November 2023.
