OnePlus has added another feather to its crown by announcing a cooperation with multi-award winning film soundtrack composer Hans Zimmer to adjust the Master EQ of its forthcoming OnePlus Buds Pro 2 in order to provide the best possible listening experience for consumers.
Hans Zimmer, the man behind the unforgettable soundtracks of a diverse range of blockbuster films such as Dune, Top Gun: Maverick, and The Dark Knight trilogy, is known for pushing the boundaries of sound so that music helps move the film narrative forward in extraordinary, sometimes unconventional, ways.
“Music is basically having a conversation. It is about setting moods and conveying emotions. To experience its full impact and to hear the nuance of every note, you need a listening device that delivers studio-quality audio,” said Zimmer. “I am pleased to work with OnePlus to ensure its second-generation earbuds allows you to be fully immerse into the music and to be transported into a whole new world.”
A Master EQ – Soundscape
The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 have a Master EQ calibrated by the famed Hollywood music composer himself. The tailored EQ, dubbed “Soundscape,” has fewer low frequencies than the default option, as well as a brighter and broader sound field that allows users to enjoy the full symphonic sound of a classical symphony and the multidimensional sound of an action film. They will be able to fully appreciate the intricate and subtle intricacies of cinema soundtracks and experience the emotional effect of the music.
An EQ is a tool that lets users change the sound profile of their headphones or speakers. It basically allows individuals to adjust the balance of different frequency components of an audio source to their liking. They can raise the bass to accentuate the deep rumbling of the lower frequencies and modify the higher frequencies to make the treble more light.
OnePlus intends to collaborate with additional world-renowned music composers in the coming months to provide more personalised EQs for consumers to pick from.
A Musical Gift
Hans Zimmer has remixed “Lost but Won,” which is part of the original soundtrack for the film Rush, in partnership with OnePlus, to incorporate spatial audio features into the song.
Spatial audio allows listeners to discern sound all around them by utilising a variety of sound playback methods.
“Spatial audio changes the way we create music and listen to music,” said Zimmer. “I love the spatial audio experience of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. The extremely immersive sound feels like you’re in a front-row seat at a live concert.”
The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 are among the first TWS earbuds that use Google’s trademark spatial audio capability, which was designed for Android 13. The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 delivers a tailored spatial audio experience with a broad sound field and crisp voices, heightening the dramatic mood when viewing films by combining Google’s spatial audio architecture, the rendering algorithm, and OnePlus’ superior stereo up-mixing algorithm. When listening to music, customers receive a clean and natural sound, as well as an immersive listening experience reminiscent of a live performance, especially when connected with the OnePlus 11 5G smartphone.
“OnePlus brings audiophile-grade sound to wireless earbuds with its latest OnePlus Buds Pro 2. The sound resolution – with its dual-driver system – is simply incredible. The bass is booming and vocals are quite pristine,” Zimmer said.
Customers will be able to test their OnePlus Buds Pro 2’s spatial audio capability and verify it is set to the correct level using Zimmer’s remixed “Lost But Won” soundtrack. The re-arranged soundtrack is intended to establish the industry standard for how spatial audio should sound.
Hans Zimmer provides a fantastic present to OnePlus Buds Pro 2 buyers with the Master EQ and spatial audio-oriented soundtrack.
