The NW-ZX707 and the NW-A306 are two new music players that Sony has added to the Walkman® series family. Both devices have a sleek appearance and high-quality audio so that users can experience music the way the artist intended.
The NW-ZX707 has astounding sound quality and was constructed with modernised high-end model components. It is portable and stylish for even the most discriminating music lover and has better battery life, balanced connection, a bigger 5″ display, and Wi-Fi capability for simple downloading and streaming functions.
The NW-ZX707 sports improved fine-tuned capacitors and an FTCAP3 (High polymer capacitor) and a huge solid high polymer capacitor that delivers high capacitance and low resistance, carrying on the idea of the Signature Walkman®. While an OFC milled block covering the digital block enables the NW-ZX707 to deliver sound that appears to rise from silence. Furthermore, a big 8mm coil for balanced output improves sound clarity across all frequencies. All four types of components mentioned above are also used in the most recent Signature Walkman® model.
The NW-ZX707 has a DSD Remastering Engine, which resamples PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) audio into 11.2 MHz DSD (Direct Stream Digital), providing even more ways to enjoy music.
The NW-A306 is intended for discerning users that appreciate high-quality sound and aesthetics. This attractive and portable music player allows users to download and stream more of their favourite songs. The NW-A306 series is focused to offering amazing music experiences directly from the users’ pockets, with full Wi-Fi® connectivity, weighing only 7 ounces, and the comfort and function of both a 3.6″ touch screen and tactile physical music controls.
The NW-A306‘s aluminium milled frame delivers improved rigidity for low impedance, clean, steady sound, and strong bass.

Faithful sound reproduction
The S-Master HX digital amp technology, which was developed independently for Walkman®, is compatible with the native DSD format. It eliminates distortion and noise throughout a wide frequency range, resulting in rich, full-bodied sound, which is further enhanced by a new high-quality sound lead-free solder.
Both versions, like the current Signature Walkman® model, use gold-containing reflow solder, which has a substantial impact on overall better sound localisation and broader sound space.
A dual clock, film capacitor, and fine sound register have been properly positioned into each Walkman® to realise the evolutionary sound of both music players.
Updated DSEE Ultimate for Enhancing Streaming Music Quality
Edge-AI (Artificial Intelligence), DSEE Ultimate™ (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine), which upscales compressed digital audio files in real time, is used by both the NW-ZX707 and the NW-A306 models. The improving algorithm now provides even higher benefits for lossless music at CD-quality (16 bit 44.1/48kHz). The restoration of acoustic nuances and dynamic range results in a more rich and comprehensive listening experience.
Customers could use DSEE Ultimate for upscaling their music, whether it is Wi-Fi® streamed or downloaded, due to improvements over previous generations. Wireless headphones are now available for use with DSEE Ultimate.
The battery life of the NW-ZX707 and NW-A306 is longer than on prior models, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in more music. The battery life of the NW-ZX707 is up to 25 hours of 44.1kHz FLAC playing, 23 hours1 of 96 kHz FLAC High-Resolution Audio playback, or 22 hours2 while streaming. To fulfil user demand, the NW-A306 offers a battery life of up to 36 hours1 of 44.1kHz FLAC playback, 32 hours1 of 96kHz FLAC high quality music playback, or even 26 hours with the streaming service apps.

The NW-ZX707 and NW-A306 will be available in Malaysia from February 2023. RRP is RM3,699 and RM1,599 respectively.
