• Group offers products and services such as JOI to ease transition to non-physical learning environments

SNS Network Technology Berhad (“SNS” or the “Group”; Bursa: SNS, 0259), a provider of ICT systems and solutions, is happy to announce the launch of a special device deal for students who are increasingly learning in online classrooms and require tools to assist access for online learning.

Ko Yun Hung, Managing Director of SNS (Link)

“This special deal is timely as the perfect tool for online classroom learning or hybrid learning given that the government launched the Hybrid Classrooms Pioneer Project. We believe that this special deal makes the devices very accessible to students and levels the playing field for virtual learning situations.”

Managing Director of SNS, Ko Yun Hung

“These devices are highly adaptable for students to browse through their coursework, take their tests onscreen or maintain a schedule; all while ensuring a smooth experience for classroom interactions. Students will not have to feel that non-physical interactions will make their experiences with teachers and fellow students any less.”

“We are also offering JOI, our smart classroom solution providing a flexible learning approach ideal for hybrid learning and emphasising critical skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. JOI devices are also compatible with the suite of Microsoft Office tools that unlocks the power of creativity and collaboration vital for online learning,” Ko added.

The Hybrid Classrooms Pioneer Project will be implemented in 550 classrooms across 110 schools starting in September 2022 as part of attempts by the Ministry of Education (“MOE”) to speed up digitalisation and incorporate information and communication technology (“ICT”) in the public education system.

Additionally, MOE has begun a three-phase RM1.3 billion programme to upgrade and replace ICT infrastructure, including desktop and laptop computers, printers, projectors, and charging ports, in schools across the country. The first phase, which involved allocating RM411.8 million for 3,900 schools, is nearly finished. The second phase, which involved replacing devices at 3,455 schools and allocating RM460.0 million, will be finished by early 2023, and the third phase, which involved allocating RM430.0 million for 3,400 schools, is expected to be finished by the end of 2023.

The special offers include Lenovo devices starting at RM1,249 with savings of RM200 and HP devices starting at RM599 with savings of RM400. These modern devices appropriate for school-age children come in a variety of form factors, including thin and light, tough and 360-degree flexible spinning devices powered by Intel Core processors and running the most recent version of Windows. Devices with JOI are also available for as little as RM599.

Along with the special offers, premium products like the iPad, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Microsoft Surface are also offered. AVITA and Huawei MatePad are two additional models that are offered.
