The region’s best esports players, experienced and up-and-coming, clash once again as the Free Fire Challengers Series Season 2 tournament moves into its League Stage on 2 July.

Four Countries go head-to-head in the League Stage

The League Stage of the Challengers Series S2 features the top 10 teams from the Qualifier Finals, along with the top 2 teams from the In-game Qualifiers of each of the four participating countries – Malaysia, the Philippines, Cambodia and Sri Lanka. Local fans can anticipate the return of familiar teams like Orange Esports and Farang as well as the performance of rising contenders such as the newly joined AKO.KHMER from Cambodiaand NEVERSTOP from Sri Lanka.

The League Stage will take place over three weeks, from 2 July to 24 July, with a break for the Hari Raya Haji weekend. 18 teams will duke it out for a spot in the Grand Finals every Saturday and Sunday at 1PM, GMT+8 with the top 12 teams advancing to compete for the championship title in the Grand Finals spanning across 30 and 31 July. The top 3 teams from the Grand Finals will be seeded directly into the League Stage of next season’s MCPS (Malaysia, Cambodia, Philippines, Sri Lanka) Majors (previously known as MCP Majors), with the following 6 teams getting a shot at redemption at its Qualifier Finals.

Free Fire players and esports enthusiasts alike can root for their local teams and redeem free weapon loot crates by tuning in to the League Stage, which will be live streamed weekly on Free Fire Malaysia official Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.  Catch a sneak peek of the action in the Challengers Series League Stage Hype video.

Hayato and Moco Cup Grassroot Tournaments

Free Fire players looking to take their first step into esports can participate in two weekly grassroots tournaments – the Blazing Hayato Cup and Frostbite Hayato Cup – which began on June 14. Both Hayato Cups are open to all players ranked gold and above via ‘The Arena’ in-game every Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm GMT+8.

The top teams each week will walk away with popular weapon skins and character bundles, such as the Aquablaze Wrath skin for the Akimbo Vectors and the Aurora Oni skin for the MP5, among others. The top 3 positions will also get bronze, silver, and gold themed profile display pictures and profile banners to show off their win to other players. Not only that, the top performing teams stand a chance to compete and hone their skills against pro teams from the region in the exclusive by-invite-only Moco Cup where they stand to win even more amazing rewards!
