Samsung Highlights Smarter Living with SmartThings and Bespoke AI Appliances

Samsung is highlighting how SmartThings can bring its TVs and Bespoke AI appliances together in a connected ecosystem designed to simplify household routines, manage energy use and automate everyday tasks.

Through SmartThings, users can monitor compatible devices, create automated routines and optimise appliance usage from a single platform. Samsung says the system is designed to work quietly in the background, helping households manage chores while reducing unnecessary energy consumption.

For laundry, the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo combines AI-powered washing and drying features with SmartThings Energy. Its AI Energy Mode can reduce energy consumption by up to 60% per wash cycle and 30% per drying cycle, according to Samsung.

AI Wash & Dry automatically detects the load size and adjusts water, detergent and cycle duration, while Heatpump Drying Technology recycles warm air during drying and can reduce energy use by up to 75%.

In the kitchen, the Bespoke AI Refrigerator AI Home provides greater visibility and control over food storage and connected devices. SmartThings notifications such as Door Open Notification can alert users when the refrigerator door is left open, helping prevent unnecessary energy loss.

The refrigerator also features a built-in 9-inch AI Home display, providing access to recipes, connected devices, apps and smart-home controls directly from the refrigerator.

For home cooling, the Bespoke AI WindFree Air Conditioner is designed to distribute cool air more gently and evenly. Its AI Energy Mode analyses usage patterns and environmental conditions to optimise compressor operation, while SmartThings Away Mode can automatically switch off selected connected appliances when household members leave home using geofencing.

Samsung also points out that users can begin building a connected smart home with a compatible Samsung TV. Through the SmartThings app on supported TVs, users can monitor and control compatible Samsung devices directly from the television.

By bringing TVs, appliances and energy-management features together through SmartThings, Samsung aims to make smart-home technology more practical for everyday use, allowing households to automate routine tasks and manage energy consumption from a connected ecosystem.
