realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition Launches in Malaysia at RM2,699

realme has officially launched the realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition in Malaysia, marking the brand’s first Harry Potter customised smartphone in the country. Developed in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the limited-edition device combines Hogwarts-inspired design with exclusive hardware and software features.

One of its standout features is the world’s first Quadra Light-Sensing Color-changing Technology. Built into the Hogwarts house crests on the rear panel, the technology allows the four crests to reveal their respective house colours when exposed to sunlight, creating a visual effect inspired by the iconic Hogwarts Sorting experience.

The phone features a distinctive brown finish with an Argyle leather texture inspired by the Wizard’s Chess scene, together with a Hedwig-inspired camera design and a “Welcome to Hogwarts” inscription laser-engraved on the metallic frame. The Hogwarts crest detailing completes the themed exterior.

The Harry Potter experience also extends to the software, with a customised user interface featuring Hogwarts-themed wallpapers, app icons, animations and GT Mode elements.

The limited-edition package is designed around Harry Potter’s iconic trunk and includes a Hogwarts acceptance letter, Platform 9¾ train ticket, house crest bookmarks, character postcards, a Hogwarts-branded phone case and a phone pin.

For photography, the realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition is equipped with a 200MP LumaColor Camera and TÜV-certified LumaColor IMAGE technology, designed to deliver detailed portraits with natural skin tones and enhanced background blur.

Alongside the smartphone, realme has also introduced the realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition. The themed earbuds come in a brown finish with a miniature trunk-inspired charging case and a knitted cross-body strap. They feature 50dB adaptive noise cancellation, a 5,000Hz ultra-wide frequency range, 12.4mm titanium-plated drivers and Hi-Res Audio certification.

To celebrate the Malaysian launch, realme is hosting a “Welcome to Hogwarts” pop-up at Blue Concourse, Sunway Pyramid from 21 to 27 September. Visitors can explore Hogwarts-inspired areas, participate in four-house challenge games and win themed merchandise. Customers purchasing the limited-edition smartphone at the event can also receive gifts worth more than RM1,200, with additional trade-in and promotional opportunities available.

The realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition is available from 21 September 2026 as a global limited edition of just 5,000 units, priced at RM2,699. The realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition is priced at RM399.
