Emirates Brings Mid-Autumn Festival Treats Onboard for Malaysia Travellers

Emirates is bringing the Mid-Autumn Festival spirit onboard for travellers between Malaysia and Dubai, with complimentary mooncakes and expanded Chinese-language entertainment available on selected flights.

On 25 and 26 September 2026, passengers travelling on selected Emirates flights will receive a complimentary traditional red bean mooncake across all cabin classes. The festive treat will be served with lunch or dinner as part of the regular meal service.

Passengers flying in First Class and Business Class will receive their mooncake in a specially designed gift box after the first meal service, while those travelling in Premium Economy and Economy Class will receive the mooncake with their meal tray.

The celebrations also extend to Emirates’ ice inflight entertainment system, which features more than 40 Cantonese and Mandarin-language films. The selection includes titles such as I Am What I Am 2, Invincible Swordsman, The Way We Talk and I Want to Be Rich.

Travellers can also choose from more than 300 Hollywood movies with Chinese subtitles, including How to Train Your Dragon, Elio, Materialists and Audrey’s Children.

The Mid-Autumn Festival offering will also be available on selected flights between Dubai and China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan and Singapore, extending the seasonal celebration to more travellers across Asia.

Emirates currently operates three daily flights between Malaysia and Dubai, using a combination of Airbus A350, Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
