Xiaomi REDMI Note 17 Series Arrives with 10,000mAh Battery and Enhanced Durability
Xiaomi has officially introduced the REDMI Note 17 Series in Malaysia, featuring four models including the new REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G. The lineup focuses on long-term durability, bigger batteries, faster charging and enhanced everyday performance.
The REDMI Note Series has also surpassed 500 million global shipments, highlighting its popularity worldwide.
Built for Long-Term Use
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G leads the lineup with Xiaomi’s largest-ever smartphone battery — a 10,000mAh cell supporting 100W HyperCharge and up to 27W reverse wired charging.
The Pro 5G gets an 8,340mAh battery with 67W charging, while the REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 feature 7,700mAh batteries with 45W charging.
Selected models are rated to retain over 80% battery capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, equivalent to more than six years of typical use.
The Pro models also receive TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification, covering battery performance, water resistance and drop resistance.
Tougher by Design
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G and Pro 5G feature IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection, along with reinforced construction and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
They have also passed testing for drops of up to 3 metres and a 2-metre, 72-hour water immersion test under laboratory conditions.
Flagship-Inspired Features
The Pro models feature 6.83-inch 1.5K displays with up to 3,500 nits brightness and 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling. The Pro Max is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 platform and supports Xiaomi HyperAI, while Google Gemini and Circle to Search are available across the series.
Camera upgrades include enhanced portraits, dual-video recording, AI editing and, on the Pro Max, 4K 30fps video recording.
Malaysia Pre-Order
Pre-orders are available until 4 September 2026 at selected Xiaomi Stores, followed by online pre-orders till 4 September.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G pre-order package includes an RM300 discount for selected slots, REDMI Headphones Neo, Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active and extended warranty benefits.
The series will officially go on sale in conjunction with Xiaomi’s “REDMI Boss for a Day: Meerqeen” event at Xiaomi Store The Exchange TRX on 5 September 2026.
