Samsung Galaxy Z Series Captures London from Three Different Perspectives
Samsung has taken its latest foldable lineup to the streets of London, showcasing how the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 can deliver different approaches to mobile photography and videography.
Following Galaxy Unpacked July 2026, Samsung Newsroom put the three foldables through their paces across some of London’s most recognisable landmarks, highlighting their camera capabilities for travel, video creation and everyday photography.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: Detail in Every Shot
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is positioned as the photography powerhouse of the lineup. Its 200MP main camera is designed to capture detailed images, with enhanced HDR helping preserve colour and fine details.
At Westminster, the camera was able to capture Big Ben and the surrounding cityscape with plenty of detail. Even heavily cropped images retained intricate elements of the landmark, demonstrating the benefits of its high-resolution sensor.
The new 50MP ultra-wide camera also comes in handy for capturing larger scenes. From the London Eye, users can fit more of the towering landmark and its surroundings into a single frame

When the sun goes down, enhanced Nightography helps reduce noise while maintaining details in darker environments. Samsung demonstrated this capability at Tower Bridge, capturing the illuminated structure and reflections across the River Thames.
Galaxy Z Fold8: Built for Mobile Content Creation
The Galaxy Z Fold8 focuses on flexibility, particularly for users who enjoy creating videos. Its Dual Recording feature allows the front and rear cameras to record simultaneously, making it possible to capture both the subject and the creator’s reaction in one video. The large inner display also provides a wider view for framing and monitoring footage.
For action shots, Super Steady with Horizontal Lock helps maintain a level image even when the phone is moving rapidly. Samsung demonstrated this while tracking a fast-moving pelican at St. James’s Park.
The Fold8’s large 7.6-inch main display also provides plenty of space for reviewing and editing footage before sharing it.
Galaxy Z Flip8: More Flexible Photography
The Galaxy Z Flip8 takes a different approach, focusing on convenience and hands-free photography.
With Flex Mode, users can position the phone at different angles without needing a tripod or another person to hold it. The FlexWindow also acts as a live preview, making selfies easier to frame.
The Flip8 features a 50MP wide-angle camera supported by Samsung’s AI-powered ProVisual Engine. Its improved AI Bokeh can help separate subjects from the background for more natural-looking portraits.
Samsung also highlighted the new Camcorder Grip, which allows the partially folded Flip8 to be held more comfortably while recording video. Combined with the Zoom Rocker, users can achieve smoother and more controlled zooming.

Samsung’s London camera showcase highlights the different strengths of its latest Galaxy Z lineup. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra focuses on high-resolution photography, the Galaxy Z Fold8 is geared towards versatile video creation and editing, while the Galaxy Z Flip8 brings a more flexible and fun approach to photography.
