OPPO 2025 Sustainability Report Highlights Progress in Green Innovation and Inclusive Technology
OPPO has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, showcasing continued progress in environmental sustainability, inclusive innovation, and global social impact as the company expands across more than 90 markets worldwide.
The report is built on five key pillars: operations and compliance, environmental protection, employee care, responsible innovation, and ecosystem engagement.
Advancing Low-Carbon Products and Operations

OPPO continues to integrate sustainability across its entire value chain, from product design and manufacturing to logistics and recycling. In 2025, the company completed lifecycle assessments for 23 smartphone models to better measure and reduce environmental impact.
The company also strengthened its use of eco-friendly materials, with recycled content now used in all smartphone packaging, accounting for around 43% of total packaging materials. In Europe, OPPO further expanded the use of paper-based alternatives, which made up about 14% of smartphone packaging materials in the region.
On emissions reduction, OPPO reported continued progress, with operational carbon emissions falling by 1.22% year-on-year and Scope 3 emissions decreasing by 2.57%. The company also increased its use of renewable electricity across manufacturing facilities by nearly 70%.
Driving Inclusive Innovation and Health Technology

Guided by its mission, “Technology for Mankind, Kindness for the World,” OPPO continues to position innovation as a driver of accessibility and wellbeing. By the end of 2025, the company had accumulated 118,000 patent applications and 66,000 granted patents.
To support digital inclusion, OPPO enhanced its ColorOS platform with more than 30 app-level improvements designed for users with visual, hearing, and motor impairments. These include features such as screen reading, image description, speech-to-text, magnification, and visual alerts.
The company also expanded its health innovation efforts through its OPPO Fitness Health Laboratory in Binhaiwan, focusing on AI-powered solutions for exercise, sleep, cardiovascular health, and lifestyle management, aiming to make health monitoring more personalised and accessible.
Strengthening Cultural and Social Impact

In 2025, OPPO contributed more than RMB 37 million to public welfare initiatives, supporting education, cultural preservation, and community development globally.
Key initiatives included the “Culture in a Shot” program with Discovery Channel, which promoted cultural storytelling and diversity across 15 countries, encouraging users to capture and share local traditions through mobile photography.
OPPO also deepened its partnership with UNESCO, donating 1,000 tablets to support digital education across Asia and Africa, helping improve access to IT learning in underserved communities. In addition, its long-term collaboration with UEFA continued to support sports development programs across Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.
Looking Ahead

OPPO says it will continue investing in sustainable innovation and digital inclusion, with a focus on delivering more environmentally responsible products while expanding access to technology and education globally.
