More than 200 young players gathered at the Xfox Sport Arena for the Hisense Youth Football Tournament 2026, held from 16 to 17 May 2026. The initiative, organised in collaboration with the Malaysia Youth League, brought together 16 teams of boys aged 12 to 14 in a structured competition aimed at developing grassroots football talent.

The tournament featured group stages through to knockout rounds, creating a competitive platform for young athletes to gain experience and showcase their skills. Beyond the matches, the event also included a parent penalty shootout session, adding a family-friendly dimension that encouraged community participation and engagement.

The competition concluded with winners crowned across four divisions. Help Hurricane secured the top Cup title, while DACS Gombak won the Plate category, Mota City Boys took the Bowl, and Ampang Jaya FC claimed the Shield. All winning teams received trophies, medals, and certificates in recognition of their performance and sportsmanship.

According to Hisense Malaysia Managing Director Derek Jin, the tournament reflects the brand’s broader commitment to youth development and community engagement through sport. He noted that the initiative aims to help young players build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills both on and off the pitch, aligning with Hisense’s role as an Official Sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

The event also included interactive activities such as social media engagement sessions and a motivational sharing segment led by former national footballer Syed Adney, further enriching the experience for participants.

Overall, the tournament forms part of Hisense’s ongoing grassroots sports development efforts in Malaysia, reinforcing its commitment to community-focused initiatives beyond its core technology business.
