More than 20,000 visitors came together under the stars at S2 Heights Aman for the 11th annual Chap Goh Mei celebration organised by IJM Land Berhad.
The picturesque lakeside venue was transformed into a festive wonderland with the theme “Hooves of Joy”, featuring 222 illuminated horse installations, vibrant cultural performances and lively community activities. This year also marked the first time the celebration was hosted at the scenic S2 Heights Aman, adding a new dimension to the beloved annual tradition in Seremban 2.
The celebration was attended by Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Malaysia’s Minister of Transport and Member of Parliament for Seremban, alongside Tony Ling Thou Lung, CEO of IJM Land Berhad, and Chai Kian Soon, Chief Operating Officer of IJM Land Berhad. They were joined by members of the Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council, state assemblymen and community leaders.
Datuk Chai highlighted that the celebration is not only about marking Chap Goh Mei, the final day of the Chinese New Year festivities, but also about celebrating over a decade of community bonding and cultural heritage within Seremban 2.
Concert Finale with Astro Audio Stations
A key highlight of the evening was the MY FM MELODY GOXUAN KUDADA Chap Goh Mei Party, organised in collaboration with Astro Audio and its radio stations MY FM, Melody, and GoXuan.
The high-energy concert featured performances by popular artistes including Crystal Ong, Danny Koo, Phei Yong, Priscilla Abby, 3P, Steady Gang, Kaka, Henn, Bingyen, and 1119. Interactive segments and crowd engagement kept the atmosphere lively throughout the night.
Cultural Performances and Festive Activities
Visitors also enjoyed a variety of activities including interactive games, cultural showcases, and a communal wishing wall where attendees shared their hopes for the year ahead. Early arrivals were rewarded with exclusive Chinese New Year gifts for the first 1,118 visitors.
Traditional performances added to the festive atmosphere, including the powerful 24 Festive Drums by SMJK Chan Wa, contemporary dance acts, and an impressive LED high-pole lion dance.
The evening concluded with a spectacular fireworks display over the lake, drawing cheers from the crowd and closing the celebration on a memorable note.
Community Celebration with Creative Collaboration
Event décor sponsor Nippon Paint Malaysia played a key role in bringing the “Hooves of Joy” theme to life, blending art, colour and festive creativity throughout the venue.
Since its introduction in 2014, the IJM Seremban 2 Chap Goh Mei celebration has grown into one of the township’s signature community events, bringing together residents and visitors to celebrate unity, culture, and prosperity.
With another successful edition concluded, IJM Land looks forward to continuing this vibrant community tradition in the years ahead.
