Homegrown designer toy brand Milolo has officially entered the Malaysia Book of Records for hosting the Most Participants in a Blind Box Unboxing Event, bringing together 300 toy enthusiasts for a record-breaking collective unboxing experience.
The landmark event celebrated the unveiling of Abby the Sheep, Milolo’s first original local IP, and gathered fans from across Malaysia’s designer toy community to share the excitement of blind box collecting. The event coincided with the grand opening of Milolo’s tenth and largest outlet at Central i-City, Shah Alam.

Held at the Central Concourse of Central i-City, the venue was transformed into a vibrant designer toy hub featuring interactive activities, cosplayer appearances, and prize giveaways including an iPhone 17 Pro, iPad, and Apple Watch. Alongside Abby the Sheep, Milolo also showcased its Why So Malaysia! series, celebrating local culture through playful, Malaysia-inspired pop toys.

Datuk Millan Lee, Director of Milolo, said the achievement marked an important milestone for both the brand and the passionate art toy community. He added that Milolo will continue to engage fans through creative retail experiences while expanding its portfolio of licensed and proprietary IPs.
Founded in 2021, Milolo has grown rapidly alongside the rising popularity of blind box collectibles. The brand has doubled its number of outlets since 2024, now operating stores at major malls including Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Mid Valley Megamall, Sunway Pyramid, 1 Utama, and Central i-City.
According to industry research, Malaysia’s pop toy market was valued at RM143.8 million in 2024 and is projected to reach RM512.5 million by 2029, highlighting strong growth momentum for the category.
