HONOR Makes History at National Day Parade, Teases Unlaunched X9e Pro

HONOR made a memorable appearance at Malaysia’s National Day Parade in Putrajaya, becoming the first smartphone brand to participate as an official parade contingent.

Leading HONOR’s nearly 50-member contingent was the company’s humanoid robot, HONOR Robotics D1, alongside an unexpected first look at the upcoming HONOR X9e Pro in a striking dark purple finish.

The unannounced smartphone quickly caught the attention of spectators and netizens, with many identifying it as the next addition to HONOR’s X Series. While full specifications remain under wraps, HONOR says the X9e Pro will bring significant upgrades while continuing the series’ focus on durability.

HONOR Robotics D1 Earns Asia Records Recognition

The appearance also marked a major achievement for HONOR Robotics D1. The humanoid robot received an Asia Records title for becoming the first humanoid robot to complete a 10KM public road run and march in a National Day parade.

D1 previously completed the 10KM Malaysia Marathon 2026 in Kuala Lumpur on 30 August, running past landmarks including KL Tower, Dataran Merdeka and the Petronas Twin Towers.

This was also D1’s first appearance outside China following its record-setting performance at the Beijing Yizhuang Humanoid Robot Half Marathon, where it completed the race in 50 minutes and 26 seconds, reaching a peak speed of 14.5 metres per second.

Interactive HONOR Experiences

HONOR also brought several interactive activities to its National Day booth at Dataran Putrajaya. One of the highlights was the HONOR Magic V6 Strongman Challenge, where participants tested their strength by hanging from a pull-up bar for 60 seconds while showcasing the smartphone’s hinge durability.

The surprise appearance of the X9e Pro and D1’s record recognition add to HONOR’s growing presence beyond smartphones, combining consumer technology, robotics and interactive experiences.
