Launches HONOR of Malaysia Awards CSR Initiative and National Photography Tour
HONOR today celebrated its fifth anniversary in Malaysia by paying tribute to the consumers who have driven the brand’s rise to the top of the local smartphone market. The milestone was commemorated at the HONOR of Malaysia 5th Anniversary Gala, attended by HONOR fans, partners, photographers, students and community contributors.
The celebration underscored HONOR’s belief that its success has been built hand in hand with Malaysian consumers in a highly competitive technology landscape. The gala recognised outstanding individuals across eight award categories, honouring their contributions to product development, ecosystem growth and positive community impact.
Five-Year Journey to Market Leadership
HONOR’s achievement as the No.1 smartphone and tablet brand in sell-out market share in Q4 2025 marks the culmination of a five-year journey defined by resilience, innovation and consumer trust.
President of HONOR South Pacific, Justin Li, said the brand’s rapid rise was driven by a strong consumer-first philosophy. “It feels like HONOR has achieved a decade of progress in just five years. Today, we are proud to be the Pilihan Utama Rakyat Malaysia, and we are deeply grateful to the community that has supported us from the very beginning,” he said.
Li also highlighted that HONOR’s product durability and reliability were co-created through real-world feedback from local beta users, photographers and students — making Malaysian consumers active partners in the brand’s innovation journey.
HONOR of Malaysia Awards: Supporting Extraordinary Malaysians

During the gala, HONOR announced the HONOR of Malaysia Awards Project, a long-term CSR initiative recognising ordinary Malaysians who have made extraordinary contributions to society. The programme was officiated by Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Teo Nie Ching, alongside Justin Li.
In its inaugural phase, three recipients were honoured:
- Mohd Adli Yahya, founder of the Autism Cafe Project
- Prakash Surriyamurthy (Cikgu Prakash), a visually impaired educator
- Siti Normala Adrus (Mak Jah), known for providing affordable and free meals to students
The awards were presented by Dato’ Abdul Majid Ahmad Khan, former Ambassador of Malaysia to China.
“As HONOR grows in Malaysia, we aim to evolve from a preferred brand into a pillar of society by supporting unsung heroes whose impact is felt quietly but deeply,” said Li.
National Photography Tour & Global Exhibition 2026
In support of Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026), HONOR also announced a National Photography Tour to showcase Malaysia’s landscapes, culture and everyday stories through mobile photography. Selected works will be featured internationally at the HONOR Global Exhibition 2026. Recruitment details will be announced soon via HONOR Malaysia’s official Facebook page.
As HONOR enters its next chapter in Malaysia, the brand remains committed to co-creating meaningful technology with consumers while contributing positively to the communities it serves.
