Citrawarna 2026 to Feature Exclusive Hotel Deals and ‘Citra Rasa’ Culinary Experiences Ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026
Visitors planning to attend Citrawarna 2026 can look forward to exclusive hotel promotions and unique culinary experiences as part of efforts to boost domestic tourism and support the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign.
Taking place from 24 to 26 July 2026 at Dataran Merdeka, this year’s Citrawarna carries the theme “Ritma Warisan, Nadi Nusa dan Bangsa”, celebrating Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage through vibrant performances, traditional arts, and showcases of the country’s diverse customs and natural beauty.
To coincide with the festival, more than 40 hotels and accommodation providers across the Klang Valley and several other states are offering special room rates and staycation packages. The promotions will be available for bookings from mid-July until mid-August 2026, giving both local and international travellers more reasons to explore the festival and nearby attractions.
Adding to the festivities is the Citra Rasa (Colours of Flavour) initiative, where participating hotels will serve specially curated menus inspired by the traditional cuisines of Malaysia’s 13 states. The programme aims to introduce visitors to the country’s diverse culinary heritage through authentic local dishes prepared at hotel cafés and restaurants.
Tourism Malaysia said the collaboration with hospitality partners is part of a broader effort to strengthen Malaysia’s position as a leading cultural tourism destination while supporting the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign. Besides enhancing visitor experiences, the initiative is expected to benefit local communities, strengthen the tourism industry, and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
