Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Series Arrives with More Power and Galaxy AI
Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Tab S12 Series, comprising the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+, combining upgraded performance, long battery life, Galaxy AI and a slim design aimed at productivity and creativity.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra measures just 5.1mm thick, making it Samsung’s thinnest Galaxy Tab to date. Both models come with an S Pen and are designed for tasks ranging from note-taking and multitasking to content creation and entertainment.
Performance and Display
Powered by a new 3nm processor, the Galaxy Tab S12 Series delivers up to 61% faster NPU performance, 19% faster CPU performance and 17% higher GPU performance compared with the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
A redesigned 3D Vapor Chamber helps manage heat during demanding workloads, while both tablets carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The Tab S12 Ultra features a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, while the Tab S12+ comes with a 12.6-inch panel. Both support up to 1,600 nits peak brightness and feature an upgraded Vision Booster for improved outdoor visibility. Four-channel spatial audio also provides a more immersive sound experience.
Galaxy AI for Productivity
Running Android 17 with One UI 9, the tablets offer a range of Galaxy AI tools designed to simplify everyday tasks.
Multi Window allows users to work with up to three applications simultaneously, while Note Assist can summarise notes captured with the S Pen. Users can also access Gemini and other AI assistants for research and assistance.
The tablets include a six-month Google AI Pro trial, providing access to additional Google AI features, including Gemini Notebook for organising notes, images, recordings and files.
Apps for Work and Creativity
Samsung is expanding the Tab S12 ecosystem with several professional and productivity applications.
Adobe Photoshop comes pre-installed for the first time on an Android tablet, with Galaxy Tab S12 users receiving four months of free access to the Photoshop mobile plan. Other supported applications include Notability, Goodnotes, LumaFusion, Notion and Clip Studio Paint, alongside additional tools such as MyScript Math and ArcSite.
Battery and Availability
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra offers up to 23 hours of battery life, while the Tab S12+ provides up to 21 hours under Samsung’s stated testing conditions. Both support 45W charging, with a full charge taking around 95 minutes using a compatible adapter.
In Malaysia, the Galaxy Tab S12 Series will be available from 7 October 2026 in Gray and Silver.

From 7 October to 8 November 2026, customers can enjoy launch benefits including selected pre-loaded applications, accessories worth up to RM1,208 and rebates of up to RM500 at checkout with eligible payment methods.
Samsung is also providing up to seven generations of OS upgrades and security updates, while Samsung Care+ offers additional protection and repair support.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Series will be available through Samsung’s official stores and retail channels in Malaysia.
