Samsung Electronics Malaysia is encouraging Malaysians to adopt healthier lifestyles with its latest Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2, offering AI-powered health insights, fitness tracking and personalised wellness guidance.

The initiative comes as Malaysia continues to face challenges in physical activity and nutrition. According to the 2023 National Health and Morbidity Survey, one in three adults is physically inactive, while half lead sedentary lifestyles.

Encouraging Malaysians to Move More

Samsung has been promoting healthier habits through its Samsung Health app and community initiatives, including the Move Together with Malaysia step challenge. More than 10,000 Malaysians participated in the latest challenge, which ran from 26 August to 16 September 2026 and encouraged participants to complete 150,000 steps over three weeks.

Samsung also partnered with sportswear brand HOKA for a community run in Kuala Lumpur on 5 September, bringing fitness enthusiasts together to make movement a regular part of everyday life.

Smarter Health and Fitness Tracking

Both the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2 feature Samsung Health tools covering activity, sleep, mindfulness, nutrition and vital signs.

Key features include:

  • Nutrition Alert: Provides hydration guidance during supported activities by estimating sweat loss relative to body weight.
  • Heart Health Score: Combines factors such as activity, sleep, body composition and stress trends into a general wellness metric.
  • Daily Cardio Load: Helps users understand training intensity and recovery needs.
  • Fitness Index: Offers insights into physical fitness to support personalised goals.
  • Vitals: Available on Galaxy Watch9, uses overnight health signals to establish personal baselines and help users identify changes over time.

These features turn health data into more practical insights, helping users better understand their routines and make informed lifestyle choices.

Samsung emphasises that these tools are intended for general wellness and fitness purposes, not for diagnosing or treating medical conditions.

Exclusive HOKA Discounts for Samsung Members

To further encourage Malaysians to stay active, Samsung Members can redeem an exclusive e-voucher for 20% off selected HOKA products through the HOKA website.

The promotion runs until 31 December 2026, subject to terms and conditions, product availability and exclusions.
