vivo X500 Series Launches in Malaysia with Advanced ZEISS Cameras and Concert Video Features

vivo Malaysia has officially launched the vivo X500 Series, featuring the vivo X500 Pro Max, X500 Pro and X500. Designed around vivo’s ambition to be “No. 1 in Photography, The Only Choice in Videography,” the new lineup brings advanced ZEISS imaging, enhanced concert recording and upgraded performance.

Advanced ZEISS Telephoto Photography

Leading the lineup, the vivo X500 Pro Max features a 200MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera with a 1/1.4-inch HP0 sensor, an 85mm equivalent focal length and CIPA 7.0 stabilisation. It also supports the 400mm equivalent vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra for capturing distant subjects in greater detail.

The X500 Pro features an 85mm equivalent 64MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera with a Sony LYTIA 610 sensor, supporting 20x Long-Range Motion Snapshot and an optional 200mm equivalent telephoto extender.

Meanwhile, the standard X500 combines a 72mm equivalent ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera with a 50MP main camera featuring a 1/1.28-inch sensor. Cinematic Portrait and vivo Color Palette tools offer additional creative options for portrait photography.

The Pro Max and Pro models also feature subject tracking, high-speed snapshot capture and advanced autofocus to help photograph moving subjects at concerts, sporting events and outdoor locations.

Enhanced Concert Video and Creative Tools

The X500 Series introduces several video features designed for creators and concertgoers, including Auto Framing Fancam Video, 4K 120fps Video Tracking and Stage Mode 3.0. These tools help keep performers in focus while offering options for dual-view recording and capturing both the stage and the user.

The Pro Max and Pro models also support Cinematic Pro Log Video with up to 17 EV dynamic range, 4K Dolby Vision Portrait Video and native 4K 240fps high-frame-rate recording. The Pro Max further includes 3° Gimbal-Grade OIS for improved video stability.

Additional creative features include Film Style mode, cinematic colour presets and Movie Workshop, which offers tools such as automatic framing and one-tap 360-degree Vortex Shot effects.

OriginOS 7 Debuts in Malaysia

The vivo X500 Series is the first smartphone lineup in Malaysia to feature OriginOS 7, bringing smoother interactions, multitasking improvements and AI-powered productivity tools.

OriginOS 7 supports cross-device connectivity with compatible Apple devices, including AirPods, Apple Watch and iCloud. Quick Share offers AirDrop interoperability, while vivo Office Kit enables connectivity between vivo smartphones and Mac computers.

AI features include Snap & Go for recognising information in screenshots, AI Next Up for creating reminders from detected schedules, and AI Recorder for transcriptions, summaries and organised notes.

Flagship Performance and Large Batteries

The vivo X500 Pro Max and X500 Pro are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, built using TSMC’s 2nm process, while the standard X500 uses the Dimensity 9600M.

Battery capacities are among the largest in vivo’s X Series to date:

• X500 Pro: 6,510mAh
• X500: 7,500mAh

All three models support 90W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless FlashCharge, alongside bypass charging and second-generation semi-solid-state battery technology.

Display options include a 6.85-inch 2K screen on the Pro Max, a 6.36-inch display on the Pro and a 6.59-inch display on the standard X500. All models feature ZEISS Master Color displays with up to 2,000 nits global peak brightness, IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, and 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanning.

Malaysia Pricing and Early Bird Offers

The vivo X500 Series is now available in Malaysia, with prices starting from RM4,699. Early bird offers run until 2 November 2026, with exclusive rewards worth over RM4,700 and rebates of RM300 to RM1,000 on selected models.

The vivo X500 Pro Max starts at RM6,099 after a rebate, compared with its RM6,399 recommended retail price. The Telephoto Kit with the 400mm equivalent extender is available from RM6,998, against an RRP of RM7,998.
