The OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G is the latest refresh from the Reno Series taking some of the upgraded photography hardware and some enhancement over the UI, with adequate processing to keep the price on par with the competition. Let take a look on what it has to offer on this new phone.

Design

The design does not change much in terms of the slim profile, but what they implemented is the Natural Aesthetic Design which brings a layer of shining and sparkling colors to it, still smooth on the touch, while maintaining a good grip while using the phone with the curved back that is the same can be said on the front glass panel as well. OPPO calls it the 3D curved design that is emphasizes on comfort and weight balance at just 181grams, maintaining slimness at about 7.6mm, a size that is easily pocketable practically anywhere you wanted to.

While it is slim and pocketable, OPPO still be able to fit all familiar standards into the phone, a speaker located below, with SIM card placement, USB C port for data and charging, new camera design that is slightly bulk up but still acceptable, dual microphone and finally an infrared communications for controlling home electronics such as Set Top Box or TV.

Display & Audio

Moving forward towards the display, the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G came with a 6.7 inch FHD+ bright OLED display with a maximum dynamic framerate of 120Hz. Speaking of brightness it can peak up to 950nits easily, making it easy to view, dark or bright places. Besides that it is also HDR10+ certified projecting 1.07b colors which when we tested, it does gave the vibrancy with good representation of color accuracy overall with good touch sampling rate up to 240hz, making it fast on the touch and swipe on any apps or games today, especially accurate during gaming sessions.

Audio wise, the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G only houses a single speaker setup, however it does not disappoint as it gets quite loud especially in small rooms with quality that is clear, but lacks bass. However OPPO still provides option for sound profile via OReality with four presets to choose from, or just connect to your favorite OPPO earbuds to enjoy a full stereo sound experience with widevine level 1 certification for DRM streaming apps such as Netflix.

Camera

As a midrange or flagship killer, the camera setup is geared towards all general and social focused use. From the rear camera, it is well equipped with a main 50MP main 6P lens comes with AF and OIS, an ultra wide angle 8MP lens and finally an inclusion of a telephoto lens at 32MP.

Suffice to say the main camera setup brings in good clarity during day time and still be able to push densities that is visible even during night time, with good shadow representation while back towards the evening, the shades of contrast is good, with minimal loss in some accuracy when zoomed in, but should you need more pixels to push for a larger resolution picture, Hi-Res mode is there for you, giving it all on the 50MP quality with combined pixel binning. It is starter friendly too as a point and shoot camera, with automatic detection for various environment. Although lacked of dedicated macro lens, close up shots are still detailed nicely with no distortions during the course of testing

The 32MP wide angle selfie camera is there to push higher resolutions for all your selfie needs and taking things a notch up with 2.5x zoom and backgrounder blurring detection with portrait mode.

Overall the camera setup is almost close to an entry flagship camera with dual video recording, pro mode and video recording mode maxed at 4K 30FPS.

Performance, Experience, Benchmarks

Within the heart of the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G, it comes with MediaTek Dimensity 8200 with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512GB of UFS3 giving it fast and reliable experience in running apps and games quickly. Should you need more RAM, OPPO does provide virtual RAM expansion to up to another 12GB, giving it a total of 24GB RAM for all your applications loaded and keeping the apps stay longer.

Using it only a daily basis can last you the whole day with it’s supplied 4600Mah battery capacity, while it may sound smaller compare to the many phones out there, ColorOS 14 with Android 14 makes up for it with fluid scrolling and better battery management, so the longer you use it, the better it gets optimized along with themes support, split screen and much more. Recharging is fast with the maximum support of SuperVOOC 80W charger, getting you back on track in less than 40 minutes. Gaming is still a joy, even games like Genshin Impact will run fine on it, between low mix with a medium settings, however if you love competitive games, this phone will play excellently with the fast 120Hz refresh rate display and high touch sampling rate. Overall idle temps are recorded around 27 Celsius, while surface temps about 41 Celsius while playing games.

Last but not least, benchmarks, showing good representation and reflections that stands lower than flagship SOC, but on par along most mid tiers phone that you can find on the market with good optimization and a newer OS in place driving better compatibility for apps.
