Specifically for the B5 Flip lineup, it is meant for those that wanted a modern flip work laptop that you can use it pretty much everywhere.

Design and Purpose : Use it for practically any way you want

ASUS ExpertBook B5 Flip is a lightweight 1.38KG laptop that is also one of the lightest Flip laptop in the market that you can find today with many ways you can use it with ASUS ErgoHinge that is highly durable. With thin factor at only 1.79CM only, it is easy to carry around and fit on most bags or sleeves. The below is the ways you can use it. The body is tough also with MIL-STD810H durability which is also spill resistant with added antibacterial guard over the surface providing healthy protection on the keyboard, buttons and touchpad.

As a normal laptop mode – When you open up the ExpertBook B5 as usual, you can just use it as a normal laptop which reveals the nice keyboard with white LED backlighting and has a good key travel when typing. The touchpad is Windows precision driver certified and can be doubled as a virtual on screen keypad when using it together with an external mouse.

Tent Mode/Flipped/Tablet mode – This feature is useful when you don’t need the keyboard and utilizing the included touchscreen with pressure sensitivity when used with the included stylus. While the stylus is not garaged mode, it does came included with batteries and it is easily replaceable. It is pretty useful when used with applications such as Windows Whiteboard or Adobe Photoshop when editing and drawing.

There is also a 720P webcam included with a privacy shutter, but dont expect high quality images, its just usable and it’s there when you need it whether its for video calling, zoom or so on.

The ASUS ExpertBook B5 Flip comes with a standard supplied USB C 65w charger that supplies charging from 10% to 100 % around 2hours on average. You will get two USB C port, both can be use for charging your laptop, data transfer and supports external display, 1 HDMI port, 1 USB port, a LAN port detachable jack, Volume buttons, a microphone combo jack and side power button with fingerprint sensor. The only thing lacking is MicroSD card slot which is missing and it will be great if it has one.

Display & Audio

On the display side, the ASUS ExpertBook B5 Flip features a 1080P Full HD 13.3 inch display with blue light filtering. Viewing with the display is comfortable with good viewing angle and colors are not over saturated which is real good although this is not the usual OLED display but it does displayed up to 100% SRGB as specs stated, coming from a user perspective, it is good for everyday use since this is not a multimedia laptop, rather it is more for productivity and business use. Brightness is excellent also when cranked up to the brightest level at almost 300nits. Audio is loud and clear with dual mic noise cancellation support located near the webcam sides when using it with video conferencing. While then you still can enjoy your movies just nice.

Benchmarks & Performance

The ASUS ExpertBook B5 Flip features the Intel 12th Generation Alder Lake Core i5-1235U 8 Core processor with Intel Xe integrated graphics, up to 32GB of system RAM, 512GB of NVME storage with additional one expansion slot. Below are the benchmark results.

Temperature, it can rose up to about 65 degree Celsius but it dissipates faster after that to its idle temperatures. Overall such scores are expected since this is a multimedia and work laptop, that also means it is light gaming capable with most applications handled pretty easily.

As a business multifunctional laptop, it is still able to play some light games as long the settings are set on low/medium, you still be able to play games like Minecraft, Fortnite or Genshin at a very acceptable frame rate with minor stutters. Genshin Impact will hover around 55FPS if you choose to set it to 720P resolution while DOTA 2 can be cranked up to 1080P low, reaching up to 65FPS average which makes it somehow suitable for some eSports titles.

Over general performance wise, from Microsoft Office to web browsing, it works pretty well and is satisfying. Over to streaming, you can stream up to 1440P without issues encountered. You should be able to get around 7 hours of usage and if strictly just on editing, photoshop and office tasks, you can expect around 8.5 hours of battery only usage if used conservatively.

The ASUS ExpertBook B5 Flip is a versatile business laptop that brings simplicity with functionalities that’s supports workforce in the office, outside and home, with good balanced lightweight design which makes it highly portable, it is also expandable internally and external, if you need more storage and memory, user can add in additional up to the needs, which is a selling point for this Laptop. The touchscreen and included stylus expands uses further for the creative ones especially those who works alot on image editing, drawing, CAD making it even more versatile for all intended purposes.

With its starting price of RM5399, it will come with 512GB SSD storage and 8GB of RAM, the ASUS ExpertBook B5 Flip is now available nationwide at any ASUS enterprise dealers and online stores.
