POCO F9 Series Arrives in Malaysia with 185Hz Display and 185FPS Gaming
POCO has officially launched its new POCO F9 Ultra and POCO F9 Pro in Malaysia, bringing flagship-grade performance, high-refresh-rate displays, upgraded cameras and larger batteries to its premium F Series.
A major highlight is the new VisionBoost D8 dedicated display chipset, paired with Qualcomm’s latest flagship platforms to enable gaming at up to 185FPS. Both models also feature POCO’s WildBoost Engine, with more than 20 games supporting native 185FPS and additional titles able to reach the frame rate through Smart Frame Rate technology.
The F9 Ultra, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, achieved an AnTuTu score of 4,165,108, according to POCO. It also offers up to 1TB of storage.
185Hz HyperRGB AMOLED Displays
Both smartphones feature 185Hz POCO HyperRGB AMOLED displays, with the F9 Ultra sporting a larger 6.9-inch panel while the F9 Pro uses a more compact 6.59-inch screen.
The displays use POCO HyperRGB technology and the new M11 luminous material, delivering up to 4,500 nits peak brightness and up to 10,000 nits for HDR content.
POCO has also introduced its first comprehensive Xiaomi Vision Care solution, with the series receiving TÜV Rheinland Quadruple Eye Care certification.
Premium Audio Tuned with Bose
The F9 Series also marks another step in POCO’s partnership with Bose, with Sound by Bose technology used for audio tuning.
The F9 Ultra features dual stereo speakers and a dedicated subwoofer for a 2.1-channel audio experience, while the F9 Pro uses dual stereo speakers with a sealed cavity design.
Both models feature Dynamic and Balanced sound profiles, alongside a new Game Audio Mode designed to make footsteps and directional audio cues easier to hear during gaming.
Large Batteries and Fast Charging
Battery capacity has also received a major upgrade. The POCO F9 Ultra packs an 8,050mAh silicon-carbon battery, while the F9 Pro comes with a 6,330mAh battery.
Both models support 100W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge, as well as up to 27W wired and 22.5W wireless reverse charging.
200MP Cameras
The F9 Series introduces POCO’s first 200MP ultra-clear main camera with OIS, allowing users to capture highly detailed images with more flexibility for cropping and editing.
The F9 Ultra adds a 5x periscope telephoto camera, supporting 10x lossless zoom and up to 20x AI Ultra Zoom. Meanwhile, the F9 Pro features a 50MP 2.5x floating telephoto camera capable of focusing as close as 10cm.
Both devices also feature a 32MP front camera and support 4K video recording with Live Cinematography features.
