POCO X8 Arrives in Malaysia with 8,340mAh Battery and Up to 2-Day Endurance
POCO has introduced the new POCO X8 in Malaysia, targeting users who want longer battery life, a large display and dependable everyday performance.
The highlight is its massive 8,340mAh silicon-carbon battery, offering 63.2% more capacity than its predecessor. POCO claims the phone can deliver more than two days of use on a single charge, while the battery is rated to retain at least 80% capacity after 1,600 charging cycles, equivalent to around six years of regular use.
The battery also supports 67W HyperCharge and 22.5W wired reverse charging, allowing the X8 to recharge quickly or provide power to other devices.
Large and Bright Display
The POCO X8 features a 6.83-inch 1.5K display with up to 3,500 nits peak brightness across 25% of the screen. The panel is designed to remain visible outdoors while offering a more immersive experience for gaming, streaming and browsing.
TÜV Rheinland eye-care certifications are also included to provide greater viewing comfort during extended use.
Built for Everyday Durability
POCO has given the X8 a minimalist design with a sandblasted frame and flat display with slim bezels. It also offers IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection against water and dust.
The phone introduces POCO’s first Underwater Mode, allowing users to capture photos and videos while in water or even photograph subjects inside fish tanks.
The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, with POCO claiming protection against direct drops of up to three metres.
Snapdragon Performance and HyperOS 3
Under the hood, the POCO X8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, built on a 4nm process, paired with an Adreno GPU.
The smartphone runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3, bringing features such as Xiaomi HyperIsland and Google Gemini. Xiaomi Offline Communication is also supported for communication in areas without conventional network coverage.
Other features include up to 300% volume boost for louder audio.
50MP Camera with AI Editing
For photography, the X8 features a 50MP main camera with OIS and EIS, together with a 16MP front camera. The phone also supports Dual Video, allowing users to record from the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
AI-powered editing tools include AI Glare Removal, AI Erase Pro, AI Image Expansion, AI Image Enhancement and AI Beautify, giving users more options to enhance photos directly on the device.
Malaysia Pricing and Availability
The POCO X8 will be available in White, Black and Orange through mi.com and official POCO stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop from 9 September 2026.
