Samsung is expanding language support across Galaxy AI and Bixby, making its smart features more accessible to users who prefer interacting with their devices in their own language. The latest update brings Malay support to selected Galaxy AI features, including Call Assist, Note Assist, Interpreter and Transcript Assist.

With the addition of Malay and Hungarian, Galaxy AI’s translation, transcription and summarisation features now support a wider range of languages. Live Translate is also expanding to cover 24 languages, helping users communicate across language barriers.

Samsung’s Now Nudge feature, which recommends relevant actions based on what appears on a user’s screen, is also gaining eight additional languages: Dutch, Filipino, Gujarati, Hungarian, Malay, Romanian, Swedish and Turkish. This brings its total language support to 24.

Bixby Adds More Languages

Samsung is also expanding Bixby’s language capabilities, allowing users to control device settings through natural conversation without needing to remember specific setting names or navigate menus manually.

With the addition of Polish, Thai and Vietnamese, Bixby now supports 12 languages, including English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish.

The new Bixby languages will begin rolling out on 14 October 2026, while the additional Galaxy AI languages are expected to arrive over the following weeks. Availability may vary depending on the device, country and region. Some Galaxy AI language packs may need to be downloaded through the Settings app.

The expansion reflects Samsung’s continued efforts to make AI-powered features more accessible, allowing more Galaxy users to communicate, manage tasks and control their devices in their preferred languages.
