Xiaomi Launches REDMI Note 17 Series and New Wearables in Malaysia

Xiaomi has officially launched the REDMI Note 17 Series in Malaysia, introducing four new smartphones alongside the REDMI Watch 6 Active, REDMI Watch 6 Lite, and a new Mist Blue colour option for the REDMI Headphones Neo.

The new smartphone lineup includes the REDMI Note 17, REDMI Note 17 5G, REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G and REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, with the range focusing on battery endurance, durability and everyday performance.

The flagship REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G features Xiaomi’s largest-ever smartphone battery, packing a massive 10,000mAh capacity with 100W HyperCharge and 27W reverse wired charging. Both Pro models also feature IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification covering battery performance, water resistance and drop resistance.

Meanwhile, the REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 are equipped with 7,700mAh batteries and 45W charging, alongside IP65 protection, Gorilla Glass 7i and TÜV SÜD 5-star Battery Performance Certification.

REDMI Watch 6 Series

The REDMI Watch 6 Active features a 1.85-inch AMOLED display with up to 1,200 nits brightness, Bluetooth calling, health monitoring, more than 140 sports modes and up to 18 days of battery life under light usage. Its slim 9.9mm body and lightweight 26g construction are designed for comfortable all-day wear.

The REDMI Watch 6 Lite steps up to a larger 1.96-inch AMOLED display with up to 1,500 nits brightness. It adds five-system GNSS positioning, advanced swim tracking, more than 150 sports modes and 5ATM water resistance, while also offering up to 18 days of battery life under light usage.

Xiaomi has also introduced the REDMI Headphones Neo in Mist Blue. The headphones feature 42dB Active Noise Cancellation, AI-powered call noise reduction and Hi-Res audio certification.

REDMI Boss for a Day

To celebrate the local launch, Xiaomi will host the “REDMI Boss for a Day: Meerqeen” event at Xiaomi Store The Exchange TRX on 5 September 2026.

Customers who pre-ordered the REDMI Note 17 Pro Series can collect their devices from 10AM, with the first 80 eligible customers receiving an opportunity to attend an exclusive meet-and-greet with REDMI Note 17 Series Malaysia Ambassador Meerqeen. A lucky draw will also be held on a first-come, first-served basis.

Malaysia Pricing and Availability

The REDMI Note 17 Series is available for pre-order through Xiaomi Stores, mi.com and official Xiaomi stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop. Open sales begin 5 September 2026.

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G starts from RM1,799, while the REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G starts from RM1,799. The REDMI Note 17 5G starts from RM999, while the online-exclusive REDMI Note 17 starts from RM749.

Selected models also come with extended warranty coverage and digital benefits such as YouTube Premium and Google One cloud storage. Xiaomi is additionally partnering with Atome to offer 0% instalment plans, together with an additional RM100 voucher.

The new wearables are priced at RM159 for the REDMI Watch 6 Active, RM249 for the REDMI Watch 6 Lite, and RM239 for the REDMI Headphones Neo in Mist Blue.
