OPPO Reno16 Series Debuts in Malaysia with AI Photography, Fresh Design and Bigger Batteries
OPPO has officially launched the OPPO Reno16 Series in Malaysia, introducing three new smartphones — the Reno16 Pro 5G, Reno16 5G, and Reno16 F 5G. The latest lineup combines a striking new design, AI-powered photography features, enhanced performance, and long-lasting battery life.
One of the biggest highlights is the new 3D Pop Planet Design, featuring an industry-first HoloVerse 3D Technology on the Pop White variant. The effect creates a floating, nebula-inspired appearance that changes with light, while the seamless unibody rear design gives the phones a cleaner and more premium look.
The Reno16 Series also places a strong focus on mobile photography and content creation. All models feature a 50MP Ultra-Wide Selfie Camera, while the rear camera system includes a high-resolution main camera with OIS, a telephoto portrait camera, and an ultra-wide lens. The Reno16 Pro further raises the bar with a 200MP Ultra Clear Main Camera for sharper, more detailed photos.
OPPO has also introduced several new AI-powered creative tools. Pop Cam adds vintage-inspired shooting styles directly within the camera app, while AI Remix Collage, Popout Collage 2.0, and upgraded video features make it easier to create eye-catching photos and videos. Users can also enjoy 4K Auto Straighten Video and Dual View Video 2.0 for smoother recordings.
Running on ColorOS 16, the Reno16 Series introduces new AI features such as AI Snap Key, AI Mind Space, AI Mind Pilot, and AI Menu Translation, offering smarter ways to organise information, compare AI responses, manage receipts, and even translate foreign restaurant menus.
Performance has also received a boost, with the Reno16 Pro powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super Platform, while the Reno16 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. Battery capacities start from 6,700mAh, with the Reno16 F featuring a massive 7,000mAh battery, supported by 80W SUPERVOOC™ fast charging. The lineup also offers IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance alongside AI LinkBoost 4.0 for improved connectivity.
Alongside the smartphones, OPPO also unveiled OPPO Bubble at RM349, a magnetic AMOLED companion accessory that functions as a rear-camera monitor and remote shutter, while also serving as a customisable smart display.
