A Visual Tribute by Xiaomi 17T Series: Celebrating Vision, Heritage and Innovation with Leica at KL Festival 2026
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 25 May 2026 – Xiaomi Malaysia has announced the upcoming launch of the Xiaomi 17T Series, set to take place at the historic Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad in conjunction with KL Festival 2026.
Blending technology, culture and heritage, the showcase will feature a special photography exhibition curated in collaboration with Leica, alongside a tribute to the late Almarhum Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah’s personal photography collection. The event highlights the shared appreciation of visual storytelling, bringing together vintage Leica works, Malaysian imagery and photos captured using Xiaomi’s Leica co-engineered smartphones.
Visitors will also be able to experience hands-on photography zones around the River of Life area, where the Xiaomi 17T Series will be demonstrated in real-world shooting conditions. The exhibition aims to showcase the device’s imaging capabilities while connecting technology with Kuala Lumpur’s cultural and historical landscape.

Held from 30 May to 1 June 2026, the event will include gallery showcases at Federal Hall 1 and 2, featuring both a photography exhibition and Xiaomi’s “Rumah Malaysia Then & Now” smart home concept. An outdoor experiential booth and guided photowalk sessions led by photographer Yuji Haikal will further enhance the interactive experience.
Xiaomi Malaysia said the launch reflects its goal of making innovation more accessible by integrating technology with cultural experiences and community engagement.
The Xiaomi 17T Series will officially launch globally on 28 May 2026, with Malaysia among the key markets to follow shortly after.
